Just like everyone else, I couldn't wait to get this figure after seeing the convention pics. I was so happy to see that SE finally had a thigh holster, and that my speculation that the little hole was designed to hold the silencer was confirmed. I received and opened up SE this morning. After handling the figure and accessories, I think this figure has some issues and highlights I hadn't seen in other reviews.
First the small complaints: #1 The metal T bar that resides inside the crotch is loose, even though the joints of the legs are tight. The figure just kind of wobbles. I'll give the benefit of the doubt and say this might just be the particular figure I got. #2 I thought the figure came with two identical pistols, one being a tactical version with the nub for the silencer. That's not the case. The standard pistol he comes with is the excellent HK45 mold from ROC. The tactical pistol for the silencer is a very cool Walther P99 mold. The problem is that the holster is significantly bigger than the P99 pistol which is about half the thickness of the HK45 pistol. It looks like the holster was designed around the HK45. The P99 pistol just falls out when handling the figure. I guess this could be modified if you only want to use the tactical version. Due to the skinniness of the tactical pistol, it doesn't sit well in the right hand. It tends to spin to the left or right and falling out. #3 The commando head has a little bit of the problem that Recondo does with the neck. It's just prone to looking down or barely looking straight at the extreme. Now the pleasant surprises: #1 The knee pads looked funny to me the way they were sitting on the knee out of package. I didn't think much of it. I was moving the feet to the butt of the figure so I could pull the elastic straps to the outsides of the legs and one kneepad rotated. At first I though there wasn't enough glue on it. Then, I just gently pulled and the kneepad came right off. After closer inspection, the kneepads are definitely meant to come off. The peg is pretty long and you can see additional molded stitching detail on the knee surface. Also, the kneepads are definitely put on upside down in the package. Once you rotate them I think you'll agree the way they sit both looks natural and works much better. #2 The elastic straps are extremely versatile! More than just simply moving them from between the legs to the outside. You can pull them up and criss cross them over the chest. The tension pulls the webgear up slightly. The benefit however is the ability to stow his submachine gun on his chest and '85 sword on his back! I'll post pics of some of my observations in the following post. All in all an excellent figure, possibly the best overall design with accessories to ever be released. If this is what we have to look forward to, I'm going to be a very happy collector. Other's have mentioned, and I totally agree, that this mold should be reused for other characters like Stalker.

#2 complaint. You can see the first shot is the HK45 which is much thicker and is snug in the holster. The second and third show the P99 tilted to the left and right. You can see how much space there is to allow the movement.

#1 pleasant surprise. The first two are the knee pads out of package. The second two are after flipping them.

#1 pleasant surprise. You can see the molded stitching and the long pegs on the knee pads. The knee pads have R and L on them so you know which knee to place them on.

Got a PM that the pics were down. Picasa sucks the big one. I'm on a work trip and the pics are on my home pc. I'll upload these again when I get home. In the meantime, I'll put up a few I took with my phone before finding my camera.
