i was looking for RC and i found this cool thing.
just like the real one. anyone here collect this kind of RC? "Another great offering in Tamiya's monstrous 1/16-scale RC big tank series is the German Panzer IV Ausf. J, a mainstay of the German Army in WWII. As with other entries in this series, the Panzer IV features realistic tank movement, turret rotation, and gun elevation. Main gun firing is accompanied by realistic recoil action and a gun blast sound. The engine sounds have been digitally recorded from an actual Panzer IV at the Panzermuseum in Munster, Germany." |

(for those who don't know) most of the 25th/modern line figures I've measured are 4" (vintage are much closer to 3 3/4") and in 1:18 scale would make them 6' tall in real life. Now if that same 4" joe were looked at in 1:16 scale would make him 5' 4" tall in real life (5' if vintage). Average U.S. male height in 1970 to present is 5'8".. so not too much of a stretch. So really, the modern line of Joes is kind of smack dab in the middle of 1:18 scale and 1:16 scale if he were to be nation average male of 5'8" 1:18 5' 8" 3 3/4" Vintage height 5' 8" 4" Modern Era height (25th, ROC, POC) 1:16 5' 8" 4"1/4" ERTL makes contruction and farm equipment in that scale as are many RC cars, planes and boats. A few finds with 1:16 in mind: Barn Farm Toys Online - Wooden Barn 1:16 scale Wooden Farm Shed for Two Tractors 1:16 Scale Utility shed Farm Toys Online - Large Scale Utility Shed Brushwood Large Scale Utility Shed 1/16 German Kubelwagen Type 82 1/16 German Kubelwagen Type 82 | Construction Toys Last edited by Akunin; 12-13-2010 at 05:19 PM.. |
