This really is a great set. I don't go out of my way to buy anymore vintage figures but the vintage Snow Job in this set is pretty cool. Good quality, and I like how the Polar Battle Bear is 25th compatible. I wish that the pegs were though.
If anything I think sets like this should have been pushed out side by side with the movie line stuff back in July. I think more fans would have been onboard with sets like this. In conclusion? BRING THEM ON! I'd love to see more matchups like this. Like the classic HISS with the new bravo HISS from POC. |

I like this set! Pure awesomeness even if ROC is in there.

I found the Rockslide to be a good homage to the Polar Battle Bear, if only the guns could swivel. Nearly everything you can do on the Polar Battle Bear, you can do with the Rockslide, except swivel the guns.

My Favorite ARAH vehicle was the Battle Bear and classic Hiss. I was so glad to see this set on the shelves.

I saw this last week had it in me hand. Half way to the registers I decided not to get it(for now). I do want the Polar Battle Bear(don't care what Hasbro renames it) but I hate the ROC Rockslide just like the majority of the ROC vehicles. I do like the colors on the new SnowJob but I also don't want to deal with replacing a fracking o-ring every 2-3 months on a ARAH figure of the new millennium. I'll take my chance and wait for it to go on clearance. Or I'll just cut one in half as I run out the door I'll leave $12.50 at the front lanes. But with my luck I'll get home and realize I grabbed the ROC half of it, NNOOOOO!!!

Somehow the vintage reproductions don't quite seem solid to me. They are pretty good, but slighty like knock-offs.
Snow Job's rubber band is a bit too tight, and his thighs don't fit together as seamlessly as the originals. Some of the details, like on his backpack are softer, like they were made by casting a vintage one, like the rifles from the Walmart Outpost. The vehicle's skids seem like this too, but I didnt have the 2007 version. It's still good though, I'm glad to finally have one. The modern rockslide is better than I had expected, I'm glad i held off for thd set. Very compact and solid. Nostalgia aside, I don't think its worse than the vintage vehicle, but nostalgia does win out here. Decent set for the price, if you don't have this stuff. |

I love the RoC Snow Job that comes with this set, awesome colors.
Love the Battle Bear, one of my top 5 vehicles. I'm getting the set, not opening it will be hard.
