I was on the fence about this set for the longest time, but broke down and got it on ebay anyway. I must say I am much more impressed with them than I expected. The stock photos do not do them justice. I was worried that they would be too pink, but that is not the case. They are actually a near perfect match to the Crimson Guard, which is great.
So lets start with the Viper.
He is made up of the chrome head / fixed wrist viper with barbecue legs. First off let me say that this combo works well. These legs give him a bulkier look than the other legs and are accurate to the original Crimson Viper. My initial concerns were that his color scheme would look garish, however it is actually very well done. Generally I am not one for the chrome heads, but this figure looks so nice, it's making me rethink that. Anyway the figure is predominantly crimson as expected with black silver and gold highlights. The arms are cast in flesh tone with the sleeves and gauntlets painted which is nice. As we will see he has a darker skin tone than previous vipers, giving a more tanned look. He comes with a crimson stand, backpack, silver Viper rifle and silver AK-47.
I give him a 5 out of 5. I absolutely love this figure.

Next up, the twins. Xamot and Tomax are the exact same molds as their previous incarnations. The crimson black and silver looks great on these guys. They finally look the part as the "Crimson Twins". An obvious difference is that like all figures in this set that have a darker skin tone than before. Considering that they are supposed to be "Mediterranean" this works well for them. They look more olive skinned than the pale white of the original versions. Personally these will become my default versions. Both come with a crimson stand, shoulder piece, and 2 silver guns (Their original and a small UZI with silencer). The shoulder pieces do not stay one very well and for some reason looked off with these figures. I liked them better without them. I forgot to include it in the pictures. Again I will give them a 5 out of 5 . To me this is the perfect version of the twins and I'd be hard pressed to improve on it.

Lastly we have the Baroness.
The baroness is the same mold as the blue version. I, like most, would have preferred that they used a newer sculpt, but this one looks surprisingly good. Her Crimson uniform has nice silver highlights that really make the details pop. The biggest improvement, over the blue one, however is the head. A little paint goes a long way. Her skin is again tanner than before, and this time her painted lips and eyebrows look much better than the bland face of the blue version. She comes with a stand, silver UZI and her usual rifle in silver. I'll give her a 4 out of 5. I like here more than I expected, and the update looks great. This look on the newer body would have been a 5.

Overall I must say that I am very impressed with this set. It came out much better than I expected and I could not be happier that I bought it. If you're on the fence about this one, I'd recommend giving it a shot, if you can get a decent price. The Twins and Baroness may be difficult to get, but the Vipers are plentiful and not badly priced on their own. I think any Cobra fan should have at least two of these Vipers.

Thank you for the pictures. They look even better than I hoped. Since I can't afford the Crimson Chopper, I've got my home-made crimson attack tank just waiting for them to arrive.
