without any online play, it sounds like there's no replay value.
It'll be in a used bin in a few weeks. I'll get it then. there's no way i'm paying full price for a game with no online aspect. there's no reason for it to not have it. way to drop the ball EA

I don't play games online. I guess I only play games once....wait a minute...I replay them.
If it's got 2-player cooperative, I'm there. I hate when shooters don't. If it's anywhere near as fun as Left for Dead, I'll enjoy it. LFD is a very simple game, but it's a blast. ROC looks like it's even simpler, but the kick out of playing as and against Joe and Cobras might be tol hard to resist. I will wait for the price to drop, though. I hardly ever buy a game when it first comes out. |

Umm lets see... Graphics suck, Camera angles suck, Dialog sucks, Controls suck, overall game sucks (and is really glitchy on Xbox)... but for some reason its fun and I dont understand. Not a great game and not worth full price, maybe 20-30 used. Thank god I rented instead of buying..

A Mercenaries type game would have been pretty cool. Or maybe more like Red Faction Guerilla. That game is awesome. You have a huge sandbox area to go through and in each area there's a number of destructable targets to deal with it any way you like cause of the awesome environment destruction engine incorporated as well as various other side missions outside the main ones.
A Joe version could have the whole different types of Joes (or Cobras) like the RoC has kinda and each person could do missions differently. Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow would be stealth. Heavy Duty would be total destruction and so on... Vehicles would come into play a bit better too I think. Obviously familiar vehicles for both sides. The G.I.Joe game we got...is a meh to me. It was okay at first, but now I really can't play it anymore. It's boring. Heh. Thinking again on Mercenaries... I liked how in Mercenaries 2 when you play as the Swedish tatooed guy and blow up/kill Allied Forces in the game he yells out sometimes in a comedic manner. "Yo Joe!" |

Aside from my previous suggestion of a Gears of War-esque system for a game, howsabout a system similar to the X-Men Legends/Marvel Ultimate Alliance games?
A four player Action/RPG game where you're just blowing the crap out of Cobras would be awesome. Of course, character types would come into play. For example, Snake Eyes would use more hand-to-hand and sword-play, while someone like Duke would be more of a run-and-gun style. Vehicles could also be used. Imagine using one of Cobra's own vehilces against them. That would kick ass. In the previous two games I mentioned, there were "Comic missions", where you could play as a character and do a little mission with them. In a G.I. Joe game, I would incorporate that with "Special Missions", where you'd have your Joe doing a mission. For example, Snake Eyes's mission would be him sneaking into a base, then fighting Storm Shadow as a boss. And if it ties into a sequel to RoC, actually use the real movie cast, instead of hiring some cheap imitators. (Not really a big concern, but something that would add authenticity) |
