Here she is, the RHINO.
Originally I didnt want to spend the money, but I got a look at "Rampage" the figure that comes with it and I really wanted him and since I have the previous RHINO, I knew it was a cool vehicle. Reminds me of the Aliens APC. THE APC: This time instead of Grey and Black we have Blue and Slate and this color scheme really looks good! Although the flaws that existed with the original still exist with this one, in other words there is no new tooling, it's still a cool vehicle. The ground clearance is nil and the foot pegs inside the compartments are still for the previous incarnation of the figures...they are too big! I tried Rampage in every station on the APC and he surprisingly fits everywhere! The Hele: Smaller than the Dragonhawk copter yet fits two figures and does so perfectly! Only flaw is the fold out wings, they are spring loaded but the spring isnt much more than enough to ensure that they deploy, they dont keep the wings down in ehem, 'simulated' flight. Rampage: He's really cool, helmet, Gun with two different sized clips and a hand gun that fits in his holster. He has no stand. But he looks like Mutt's head and so to me, he's Mutt. Love this guy! Decals are OK, but use some judgment when applying them, find a place you think they fit, because the recommended placement doesnt work on a few. Overall, it's not worth 54.99 (Target's retail online and after the sale) and it's not even worth the 49.99 I paid. But it's cool and I am hoping to recoup the costs at the TRU sale again next week. I know there will be alot of you saying that you'll wait for clearance and I should have done that too, but I can play with it now. And still buy a couple more when they hit clearance. |

Nice review. I think I'll be one of the waiters. I spent way too much on this line already.

The funny thing is, hasbro toyshop.com was practically giving these away about 2 years back. I got one for about $12.

I went ahead and got 2. It's pretty cool if you ask me except for those green missles. Hold's plenty of extra joes too.

It's not a bad vehicle at all, but I'll agree, it is overpriced. The only logical reason I can think of, is a very, very limited production run.
It's one of the best "new sculpt" vehicle molds made between 2002-06. This and the Night Attack Chopper are my favorite vehicles from that era. Big, not small at all, and detail is up there with the playability and sturdiness. So big you can even shove the ninja lightning cycles(like the recent Snake Eyes one) into the sides. |

Not looking to get this, but I'd really like a Rampage figure.
