Wow, I somehow deleted my entire post and have to start over.
Well, got this wave, except for Pit Commando. Be patient and you'll find it soon, it seems like a lot of people have lately. Flash: I am very disappointed that his helmet must wont fit right. I was looking forward to him the most EEL: Torpedo body doesnt quite thrill me like it did the first 12 times, but it is a good, reliable sculpt. Head is actually entirely different sculpt from Elite. Elite Viper: Love it. Somehow generic and unique. Gear fits well, and the double SMGs are just great. Axe/tool thing is a fun realistic addition. Hawk: Nice Dennis Quaid likeness. He is so badass that he wears a belt with a holster on top of the belt to hold his pants up. Best use of the blue camo since I dont think he's leaving base in the t-shirt. Pretty cool, very solid, and I'm glad since I cant afford a PIT for just one figure. The jacket shall haunt me though... Helix: The greatest toy ever. Nah, not really, but she is well done and nicely proportioned. Its taken a long time to reach this point of quality in female figures this size. From man-bots to freakish sex dolls, the ladies have not been treated so well, so its great seeing a figure that kids may want to pick up. From her 2 toned hair to her leather straps, as well as her ammo belt "skirt," Helix may be trying a little too hard to be a "video game chick" who would be comfortable in a modern Japanese RPG, but she's also a nifty design that brings some much needed color and varietyto this line. Crimson Neo-Viper: Finally, I save the most surprising(to me) for last. Not the greatest repaint ever, but I expected to despise this thing, and planned on skipping it. I am glad I didn't! What I expected to be cheesy metallic red is actually great looking, like a new car, with a nice coat of gloss that shines great in the light and to me compliments the strange design. The best part thing though, is his batch of unique accessories. I dont care for the regular Neo-Vipers weapons much, and this guy's rifle/machine gun beats theirs easily. He's got a machete, lwhich Helix also had, as well as 2 identical hatchets for NO REASON. I have no idea why they are included, they are an unnecessary addition, but a very cool realistic one. Double wielding these things is delightfully psychotic. Finally, the weapon that I thought was a guard's spear is actually a snake-handler's stick to retrieve a realistcally painted, tiny snake from its container. It is actually pretty fun retrieving the snake yourself with the pole! If you skipped the Neo-Viper, I recommend this one. |
