Too sparse for nothing in terms of releases. Hasbro?s playing it safe because the vocal Joe collectors that might have asked for those sorts of foreign concepts remade have largely drifted away from the hobby. You are among the few of the ?old guard? still hanging around it seems.
And I find it frustrating as well. Hasbro?s making these o-ring molds from scratch. That, theoretically, means they are NOT beholden to the limits that largely defined the late 90s/early 2000s o-ring uses. There is sufficient information and images to largely be able to recreate a solid chunk of the newly designed figures for Battle Corps Rangers and Ninja Commandoes. They would be, effectively, NEW figures to a vast number of fans (and probably justify the $20 a pop Hasbro?s charging for the things) But nope. Got to drip feed the same old stuff just like every time Hasbro dusts off the brand? |

Today's new profile is the Asa Negra figure from Red Laser's Army:
https://forgotten--figures.blogspot....aser-army.html This is another example of the skull head paint mask really working well.

Depending upon how long you've been in the collecting game, this new Stormshadow might be one of the greatest things even, or just more of the same:
https://forgotten--figures.blogspot....ormshadow.html I'm glad to see o-rings return. And, I hope they continue to grow.

As far as toys go, probably not. But in the DD comics, Blackout started as a Joe. Duke was a cobra operative in Reloaded. And Steeler was a cobra undercover as a Joe in one of the IDW early titles. Not sure if he started as a Joe or Cobra though...

They never would've done that in the vintage line. Don't want to teach kids to turn to the dark-side.

Today's new profile is the 1989 Night Viper:
https://forgotten--figures.blogspot....ght-viper.html The Night Viper is one of the top army building sculpts in the line. He was the sole figure I bought between 1988 and 1992.

Today's new profile is the 1993 Star Brigade Invader:
https://forgotten--figures.blogspot....e-invader.html This Cobra Pogo repaint features some brighter colors and a different purpose. And, it works much better in space.

Today's new post looks at the 1986 Thrasher:
https://forgotten--figures.blogspot....-thrasher.html Thrasher was not a figure of any importance in my childhood. While the quality of design is strong, he just never resonated with me.
