Today's new profile is the 2005 Comic Pack Snake Eyes:
https://forgotten--figures.blogspot....omic-pack.html It was tough to breathe new life into the original Snake Eyes look. The new head from this pack did a passable job of it, though. And, he had a grappling hook!

Today's new profile is the 1984 MANTA:
Forgotten Figures: 1984 MANTA As a kid, I hated this thing. It fell apart when you looked at it. As a collector, though, I have more appreciation for it.

Today's new profile is the Brazilian exclusive Blowtorch named Tocha:
Forgotten Figures At his core, this figure isn't all the different from the American release. But, those small, subtle differences make this like getting a new Blowtorch all over again.

Today's new profile is the Black Major Viper Pilot:
Forgotten Figures: Black Major Viper Pilot This was a totally random selection of a figure. But, is one on which many people are sure to have...opinions. I'm grateful for this figure and it in no way detracts from my original Viper Pilot. In fact, it makes the original even better.

Does anyone have any clue what year the European Force troops would've been released? Obviously at least '87, based on the parts, but does anyone know the specific year?

Today's new profile is the Funskool Croc Master:
Forgotten Figures: Funskool Croc Master Croc Master is the only 1987 Cobra I have ever really liked. And, this Funskool version used to be a cheap way to get a complete one.

Today's new profile is the 1985 Catalog:
https://forgotten--figures.blogspot....5-catalog.html These inserts were all of our introduction to each year's new toys. Opening one for the first time was a feast of surprises and awesome toys. What are your memories of the catalogs?

Thanks for the link to blog with the pics. from the 1985 catalog. As a kid growing up in the '80's & collecting the ARAH figures during those pre-Internet days, these catalogs were the only real "sneak preview" of forthcoming figures. Very nice to see this again.
I feel the height of this line was in the 1984-1987 era, and a hell of a lot of great figures/vehicles especially came out in the 1985-1986 waves. |
