Resolute Cobra Trooper has the same head that we saw in the Parachute Cobra Trooper from the "Best of" DVD pack. The rest of the figure however, is all new. The helmet is similar to the Parachute Trooper but has the same forward swept sides that are present in the new Cobra Commander helmet. Unlike the Cobra Troopers we grew up with, these look to be ready for real action. Not only do they have knee pads, but they also have elbow pads, shoulder pads and a removable tactical vest giving them a swat type of look. Underneath the vest, the Troopers torso looks like a tactical sweater with a silver Cobra badge. Cobra Trooper comes with removable Helmet, Rifle, Machine Gun, removable Vest, Backpack and Cobra Stand.
This Cobra Trooper is a great generic troop builder with real world details and the same great range of motion you find with most modern era figures. The Troopers eyes are painted with brown paint that gives the figure a "Crazed Fanatic" look with the helmet on and a "shell-shocked" look when the helmet is off. I'm still undecided if this is a bad thing or not. I'm not crazy about the weapons, but the figure is top notch. Figure Rating: 9 out of 10 Last edited by Shogi; 08-31-2011 at 06:16 PM.. |

Ithought love the helmet, and and the rifle, don't care too much about the sub machine gun.
I hoper more figs are going to be this good, in terms of paint apps, and the look of the character. |

These guys have replaced the Viper as my favorite Cobra trooper. They absolutely rock. And unlike the regular Cobra Troopers, they can hold their weapons normally and with both hands. These guys look like the special ops or S.W.A.T. team of Cobra. Best figure of the Resolute trio.

Found this in a store, decided the paint apps made him look nutso, so sold it. Was also disappointed in the lack of cobra symbols. Neat looking, but not cobra looking.

While I think the Cobra symbol on the helmet would look good (like the card art), I also think it would lose some of the "real-world" credibility. After all, a big silver bullseye on the helmet wouldn't be too smart.
This is an awesome figure, and has surpassed all my expectations! Bring on more Resolute designs! |

I really like this fig. The only thing that bothers me is the light grey color to the pads (which can be fixed). Not too tactical, but I'm sure it looks great in the cartoon world.

i just can't vote on a figure that has no nostalgic value to me, it's not fair...he looks cool, but just don't feel anything for him...
