Well, I picked up two of these fig today, and they are pretty cool. I agree that they should have a silver cobra on their helmet just like the card art. Also, I'll definitely repaint these guys.
The paint scheme looks good the way it is, nice realistic drab and muted blues and greys. However, I really want to try painting these guys up in the traditional dark Cobra blue and change the pads to dark grey or black. I'm thinking they'll look sweet eitherway, but they match the rest of my army nicely. |

I get what people are saying about the weapons but for me the figure comes first and this trooper is one of best sculpts we've gotten so far, up there with the BAT and Eel as far as I'm concerned.
I see Resolute being the best thing to happen to GI Joe in a long time. It's an easy 10 for me. |

I know this may be a stretch, but with the more "real world" look (CC excluded) could this line be a warm-up into the movie line, I mean I'm assuming that the first wave or 2 of the movie line may be real bdus or class a's/b's....I really like this line

I would not mind getting a few of these, they look good and would fit in with what we already have. I would give him a 9 with MJ's P-90s or something added.

I'm warming up to the Resolute line/idea, but I'm holding out to see the rest of the figs before I buy any Joes. In a way I'm excited there will be multipule flavors for Joe fans to pick from or enjoy all of them.
Obviously we already have the 25th line bring back the good old days and reviving our favorite Joes and Cobras with new and superior action figures. With the Resolute line, we get a updated moderized version of the Joe and Cobra Team. More realistc and tactical than most of the previous Joes and Cobras, but still spawned from an animated series to still preserve that toy feel. Then the movie line (educated guess-work here), which looks to be a more sleek, futuristic, black and chrome feel, but not too practical by todays no nonsense military terms. In the end, hopefully something that will hit home with a wider market of consumers that allows all three to thrive much like the multipule Transformer lines. |

Well, I really dislike the Resolute Cobra Trooper, its just pure detail and lacks the nostalgia and true grit that the Vipers and Cobra Troopers from the past are. Also not even a " Cobra" logo or a v molded onto the helmet like the past figures. Thats why I just ordered only one Blowtorch and one Python CG from Ebay, call me "old fashioned" but I am still going for the 25th / modern era joes and cobras. The Resolute figs. are too much equip. and less character.

I voted 10 for this figure. for some reason I love the fact that there is no cobra symbol on the helmet. Its not like al quaeda ( I Know I spelled that wrong) has logos on their helmets. Cobra is a terrorist organization after all. The real world look of this figure gives it that extra something. Being a former swat team member He looks exactly like what the team I was on wore, except our uniforms were O.D. green. This has become my favorite cobra army builder (actually its tied with bats). I have a small four man squad that looks bad ass on the dio I am putting together, inspired by the swat look they have.

It looks cool & it's great that Hasbro used almost all new parts to make it but it don't look that much like a regular Cobra Trooper. It's the lack of a visible Cobra emblem on it's uniform & the weapons that don't make it score higher in my book. I gave it a 7.
Maybe when I buy it my oppinion could change but as for now it will stay that way.

I don't know, the figure is based off of the new cartoon. The Trooper looks awesome on the small screen (never get tired of watching that teaser from Joe-Con) but the figure is so-so for me. I like the design and all but for a figure it's not really gotten me to the point I want to army build these guys. I'll get a couple more to be squad leaders for my 25th Troopers that I've army builded. I guess I'm just picky with certain figures and the fact that nothing is molded in color, seems like the whole figure is painted, really bugs me. Plus I hate the weapons and the whole knee and elbow pads reminds me of Valor vs Venom. I still like Cobra Commander (the statue, articulations not great due to what he has) and Duke is awesome. It's a cool design and update to the classic Trooper but in figure form it's just not for me. And how the heck do you get the vest off? For the life of me I can't get the vest off even after popping the head off.
