Yeah, I LOOOOOOVE this Duke ~ The headsculpt is about 100X better than the doughy faced 25th version.
The way Resolute updates and modernizes ARAH Joe like Alternators and Universe Classics modernized and update G1 Transformers is totally sick and awesome. I do have to dock Duke a point for that molded-in pistol, that's a pretty huge Whiskey Tango Foxtrot! I'm also not crazy about his Rifle, but 99¢ and a trip to Marauders will fix that problem. 9/10 ~ beyond a shadow of a doubt the best Duke ever.

When I trimmed down my 25A collection, I told myself "No More Dukes." I didn't think he was a necessary character when you've got Hawk running the show. However, I saw this guy after the photos came out and decided to give him a chance. He's now at the front of my display next to Hawk... I'm going to give Hasbro's favorite son another chance. 9/10.

Anyone else think the figure's head looks like that of Channing Tatum from the movie, or is it just me?

I'm hoping the majority of the core team members will get a Resolute treatment. Resolute Duke, and the Resolute Cobra Trooper are some of the most impressive figures of the entire line for me. Since day one, i have not been more impressed with a figure than i am with these. The more modern, realistic styling is what I've been asking for. Although i love and appreciate all the RAH tributes we have been getting, i really think things like this should have a place as well. I'm glad now GI Joe can step out of the shadow of the Vietnam era and become a modern fighting force that they deserve to be.

Actually, the first thought that came to my mind was that he looks like James Marshall (Private First Class Louden Downey) from A FEW GOOD MEN and the 1992 Gladiator with Cuba Gooding jr...IMO this Duke looks JUST like him...

I mean these guys would be pushing middle-50s now. DDP kind of glossed over the Nam connections, but for newer fans to get into the Joes they need to be newer and connect with how people see the military today. The classic look is great, but some of the guys need to be pulled into this century.

No, I think so too. And he has the scar like Duke in the movie does. (like Shogi said, nice nod to the original Joe) I think you'll see this head with different hair for the movie figure. Too bad he doesn't look like this in the movie!

I've been saying something like this for awhile. Joe needs to be modernized and updated for a new generation.
