Great review Justin! That Airtight looks just as good with his gear off as he does decked out.
I'll def be buying some extras to make some Cobra toxo lab-tech customs. A little RIT Dye and possibly the PIT Commando gas mask. I think they'd look pretty sharp. And I hope the guys at Hasbro have more plans for that body... because all they need to do sculpt a new helmet... and maybe some classic weapons and a new chest piece but I'd be happy with just this... GOTTA GROW MY TOXO FORCES!!!

Am I the only one who is extremely disappointed that that baclava head for Law & Order was dropped??? I was planning on buying 20x for unnamed SWAT officers to battle the Shock Troopers but now I only want 2... What a stupid thing to omit... Went from troop builder to just another character. Don't get me wrong he looks awesome but Hasbro thought they were saving money but guaranteed they just lost 1000s of sales... Poor business decision, they already had it sculpted too...

Law & Order was one of my favorites early on from the previews, and I'm really glad that he came out looking good. I also miss the extra head, maybe it'll show up somewhere later. He has a great head sculpt, it's one of the best Hasbro have done imo. That group shot really does illustrate just how far Hasbro has come in a such a short time.
Airtight is awesome, I still like Law & Order more, but I love Airtight. A second head with sculpted hair would have been great (to tie in with how he looked in Renegades), but this is definitely more of a 30th figure anyway so it's not a big deal. The sculpt is great, and hopefully we will see more Renegades figures in the future. Maybe they'll surprise us with some seven packs to finish up the characters we're missing. I don't mind waiting for Roadblock, Destro, Mindbender, etc with figures as amazing as Airtight and Law & Order being made. Also, I just want to echo the praise for your pictures, they are amazing. What kind of camera do you use? Thanks again for the great reviews, I really enjoy them. |

I love these reviews, and I really enjoy seeing the photos of the 80's figures next to their up to date counterparts. Its amazing to see the differences. Memory plays funny tricks on us. Thanks for including that feature!

I'm really annoyed at Hasbro for dropping Law's new tooling in favor of reusing the Renegades Duke tooling, which I wasn't all that fond of to begin with. I also really wanted the second head sculpt.
I'm buying this figure more for Order than Law at this point.

WOW! awesome review and truly impressed and yes i understand Hasbro dropped the ball on Law and a few other figures, but i guess just be happy the figures are making it to the pegs at our local retailers.
Final score from 1 to 10 is: Airtight is 10 Law is a 9 Sci-Fi is a 10 Just waiting on Techno-viper and Lifeline All figures will be bought and im sure i see dup figures being bought as well for either customs or MOC. |
