I know it's easy to play Armchair Toy Designer but it's always disappointing to see potential going to waste, as it did with the Rise of Cobra's Zartan. As a master of disguise, there's so much potential for this character yet Hasbro didn't really do anything with it and it's such a shame to see a great character reduced to such a generic figure. (Yes, I know he's in disguise and trying to blend-in but that doesn't mean the figure should be so bland.) On the plus-side though, the head sculpt is excellent. That Figures: REVIEW: GI Joe: The Rise of Cobra - Zartan

The only thing this figure is good for, is if you are feeling a but nostalgic, it would make a great Darkman custom......at least the head would.

Cool mummy custom sector 15!
as for zartan, these are the few i havent picked up. Its the least figure I want from the line, yet it has the best army builder filler if you have a set of pit commandos. One pit commando = 3 equipped figures, so add 2 more zartan to suit all the accessories, its sweet... so will get a handful after reading this review Good review bro! |

I actually really liked this figure. It's got good play value, good articulation, and the headsculpt was one of the best in the line.

I thought as I was photographing it that there was a lot of custom figure potential. It's nice to see Sector_15 putting it to such a use (great figure, BTW!)

And yeah, if you can find him he's usually on-sale cheaply, plus he's already dressed for the role!

I agree about the head sculpt but I was a little disappointed with the leg/hip joints being restricted by the shirt tails.
