Captain America Comic Series Crossbones
Probably one of the most highly anticipated comic series to be released in the 3.75” Captain America First Avengers toy line is Crossbones. Prior to its local release here in the country I have seen this figure being sold in the net for 25USD. Being a fan of the 3.75” GI Joe and Marvel Universe, Crossbones was first in my list of wants in the Captain America 3.75” toy line. Packaging Like other Marvel previously released toyline, The Captain America First Avenger’s packaging stays true to the packaging details and style. Those in the look-out for Crossbones, please note that he is figure #10 in the series. Out of the Box Out of the box, here’s what we’ll get. Crossbones figure Removable vest 2 small SMG’s 1 riffle Sadly, the line does not include any figure stand or file cards. Paint Apps & Sculpt Paint apps for Crossbones is covered by the base color of the material used. So paint apps issues maybe evident only in areas where repainting is needed (such as the facemask). Sculpt wise, the figure is awesome. I like the detailing of the leg and boot parts. Upon removing the vest, I was surprised to see that Crossbones had a collared shirt. As I was expecting a regular shirt under it. Without the vest, we see a peg hole at the back which is pretty much what we expect for GI Joe’s. Even without the vest, the figure stands alone pretty well. The vest is also impressive. It’s pretty much what you will expect from a POC GI Joe figure with those pockets and a separate belt for bullets at the front. At the back we see more of bigger vest pockets. The riffle and small SMG’s that came with it is nice as well. Though I hoped Hasbro gave it a black color touch instead of green. It would have been perfect if it were all in black. But what the heck, I still have a few more guns to spare. Heck, even Snake Eyes likes Crossbones… Back to green, a spare Flint shotgun is also good for Crossbones. Size Comparison Crossbones is taller than the tallest GI JOE but still in scale with other huge MU figures. Verdict Go & get it!!! After its release in local stores, the hunt is on for Crossbones. Everyone wants one. I do hope others get the same luck I had when I came across mine in the pegs during the toy distribution last May21. TFL |

Was really impressed by his sturdyness and detail...the guns (smaller ones) are WAY harder than the others so far...they should be black or grey though...

yeah, i agree... he's quite hefty for his size and the small SMG's are really good.. just right for Crossbones... the green colors just bothered me at first... but i'm fine with it now... |

I agree; great review! I actually had no idea who this guy was. LOL. But he reminded me of the two dudes from Army of Two, and he was so cool looking that he was pretty much a must buy from the start.

Nice Review.
I have a to ask The Question though - how are the joints on this figure? A lot of the CA: TFA figures feature really crappy, bendy joints and I just wondered if he felt as cheap as the others.
