This one combines two things I hate... red paint and white paint add in the bleed or mudding effects of each whites caking red's brush corruption so much hatred here to make Baron Ironblood, for the most part I worked to make it as close to the original as possible while departing where I could to make the torture easier on myself. I was always a fan of the Ned Kelley helmet however since playing Dead Space I've been itching to incorperate that armor look into a figure so I decided to do it here, at least with the helmet. In my verse Baron Ironblood and Cobra Commander where different characters instead of one becoming the other it was a sort of Dread Pirate thing and having Red Jackal impersonate Destro to lure the real article into service. In some versions of myverse I even made Baron Ironblood become Dr. Venom instead.
body construction is as follows head - BAF Fantastic Four series Ronin sculpted on ears and then cowl, hair facial hair Torso - Stormshadow v1 lower arms hands lower legs and boots - arctic duke uzi - snakeeyes v1 helmet - sigma strike helmet and shoulder armor from Iron Grenadier Last edited by Vanishing Point; 09-16-2013 at 12:57 PM.. |

One thing I forgot to mention was that all of the white is painted on. between the different shades of white in the plastics as well as the stormshadow's inherant yellowing issue it was needed for such a uniform look. The white is Testors Duck Egg Blue. Citadel Blood Red they are the smoothest I have used, I'm almost looking forward to Lifeline now...almost

Barbecue was one of the very first Customs I made using Sigma figures, before I found out how to boil pop and most of the techniques I use today, I felt bad that I kept shoving him further into the back of the shelf just cause he wasn't represented as well as the others, so I revisited him to coincide with the class of 85 I am working on.
Originally he was completly an arctic Snakeyes spray painted with rustolium chrome spray paint then topped with Rad X red clear coat with minor detailing in black and some gold on the visor, I fashioned his back pack out of temple tracker Spirit's lariet and fasened it to a stone armor and a spirit hatchet. I gave him a CCv1 wrist gun to act as his foam gun leaving his hands... mittens free to do what he does. the update: a new head, Wetsuit's head makes me think of the Boston born Kennedy sounding firefighter, think of the word Chowder in either voice and not laugh. I dare you! and Arctic Duke's Mask. I retooled the gear so it sat better on the figure and added german uniform grey to add some flare to the overall look. That bbq is just glowing and shiny. Nice. That is a lot of white on the Baron. I like keeping him as a seperate character.
