When I was a kid Roses was the first big box retail chain I remember. Walmart came to town and ran out our local Roses, in fact they defeated most of the Roses in the state.
Before work today I dropped by a Roses and found 3 MOC Snake Eyes Parachute-B.A.Tv5. mission pack! Wow. Now that is some old stock. On a related topic, I now have a set to trade/sell. Shoot me a PM. I'll update my buy/sale thread after work tonight. Last edited by Big IV; 01-26-2010 at 07:25 AM.. |

I didn't think Roses existed outside of Ocean City, MD (popular beach resort/town). There is one out there that looks so run down you'd think it went out of business 15 years ago. I've been going to that beach forever and we always goes in there to get sodas and bait etc...I remember they had nothing in their toy section last summer. It's like stepping into 1989 in that when you go in there. I can't believe there are multiple Roses locations LOL...

Not in bad condition (pic of in hand package). Roses itself has become scary. Looking at their toy section I thought they were going out of business. It was sad. |

Our local discount store is AJ Write. They have a few items but nothing great. I am hoping they will get the 25th/ME items in one day.

Our local discount store is Ollies. They had Sigma 6 para Snake Eyes, both motorcycles, quad Dukes and lots of the first $10 wave. I bought every Skybat at the two closest stores. I think I have 25 of them. Ollies has also recently sold lots of 25th 6-packs and those 3-packs...all different kinds.

They are under the name of Variety Wholesalers. They are opening alot of new stores and have been able to survive Wal mart. Last edited by paraviper; 01-26-2010 at 06:42 PM.. |
