I started seeing the line as kid stuff, but as more and more figures came out, they gradually caught up my eye. Unfortunately, just when they started to get the militia looks right, the line got canceled.
Actually, amongst my favorite figures are Gung-Ho (Never minded the guy was nothing like the original character) and Grand-Slam, which had for me some of the best looks of the whole line. Sigma 6 spawned a lot of collector's interest in my country around the last waves... I guess it took us a while to discover what a wonderful line it really was. Being the owner of a small toy store myself, I got a handle on several figure lots, specially during 2008 christmas --most of them unsold figures from major mexican stores that Hasbro recalls, and then sells down to small, direct retailers as myself-- and the over 100 figures I got went happily over to collector hands... But then, these stocks also ran over, and nothing new has happened since... I always think of vehicles when I see a Joe, so, back in the day, I started a couple of projects for an 8" scaled Fighter and a tank, but they are still --very-- unfinished... I got into this section of the forums to see if there's still interest on the line, or if they are better left off for dead... With the new Mattel "World's Greatest Heroes" 8" scale line nearing its 2010 debut, a renewed interest has geared me... Wouldn't it be cool to have our Joes in this scale with cloth uniforms, and all the accuracy of 12" figures? Wouldn't it be great to have one of those prototype helicopters Hasbro showed off at conventions at the end of the line? Any thoughts about it? Be so kind as to share...

I prefer the vehicles because I tought the figs were on the expensive side (And now I find myself pushing kids for DCUC and paying that S6 price).
I would welcome the more vehicles.

I'd like to see the opposite- the S6 characters in regular Joe scale, along with some of the vehicles- the Sigma Six Vamp was an awesome ride.

I don't care for the scale (any action figures above the 4" scale have always felt like 'dolls' to me) and the design aesthetic of the Sigma 6 line was a complete turn-off to me, so no.
but S-6 characters @ the ME scale i'd be 'ok' with.

I still think, to this day, the 8" Joe line has been one of THE best conceived and designed toyline to see retail shelves in the past decade, easy.
Yes, I love my retro product, but Sigma Six felt FRESH. There were WONDERFULLY designed toys. They had a suberb presentation which made each figure (especially the early Commando class) fell special, the accessories were detailed AND fun, not mention so many you could have a TON of scenarios with just one figure. They were stylized enough that the conservative parent people would have hard time arguing the "violent propaganda" and the toys were TOUGH. Unlike today where we see broken figures with just a little movement, Sigma Six were built to play and play rough. And by being a new incarnation, the design team had leadway to make some truly impressive product. Flint may not have been very retro, but he was well designed and fun. 25th, RoC, Star wars and such are nice little collector lines. But Sigma Six was a REAL TOY LINE. Sadly, I think what made it so special probably would have doomed it anyway given the price increases we've seen across the industry in the past several years. Even by the end of the line, you could see the Commando class start to suffer from price cuts.

I'd have the theme back, because I really liked the character designs, tech and vehicles, but not the 8" scale. Sigma 6 in 3 3/4" scale would be my choice.

I liked the sigma 6 line but I didn't buy a lot of it.
