Blasphemy!
Sigma 6 got me back to G. I. Joe after being out since high school in the late '80s. From a play standpoint, how could any kid NOT love playing in the backyard or pool with these? They blended a new line, made us feel nostalgic with classic ARAH characters, and brought twists on existing personalities - like Firefly. I remember going to Joe Con in Dallas in 2008 and feeling like the only one buying S6. Still have my collection and display alongside my modern era figures and Sideshow 12" figures.

Well I was more interested in the first wave or so of the 25th anniversary, but the stupid Sigma Six stuff was still clogging up the aisles.
all the plastic that was used to make the locker accessories to put the weapons away for the Sigma Six figures all that plastic could have been used to make some extra 25th anniversary figures something like a 25th anniversary figure of the Cobra La leader or something like the Ultimate Soldier or something |

Yes they had that old 1980 mail in ultimate soldier. I said that I wish Hasbro could have made a 25th anniversary ultimate soldier instead of wasting plastic on making awful looking sigma six

You do realize that Sigma Six came out before the 25th Anniversary. So they didn't waste plastic on anything because it was two different lines and two different times.

You'd think he would be happy. They basically ended Sigma Six to allow for the 25th.

Sigma 6 may not have fit into the view that many collectors have of G.I. Joe, but they were fantastic toys. Extremely well articulated, intricate (and functional) accessories, and compared to prices today, they were damned affordable. A nice mixture of great cloth and plastic accessories, and many of the design aesthetics that so many collectors are in love with today were born from Sigma 6.
That perfect combination of science fiction and military that everyone seemed to love with Pursuit of Cobra first really made its genesis with the 8" Sigma 6 line. Even if you don't like the animated styling and you disagree with the scale of the toys, I think it's pretty tough to argue that these weren't very well made, exceedingly well designed and fun (GASP!) toys.
