I'll have to agree, Sigma Six got me back into Joes, first thing I bought was Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes. Still want to find me a Zartan. I just cant believe its been that long already since they came out, where the hell did my 30s go? LOL But aside from that, I Loved the 8in line, didnt care for the smaller versions of it, or the smaller vehicles. And I think this would be an awesome scale for some Marvel or Dc Figures done in that style.
I'd also like to see some 4in Sig Six figures styled like that too, Don't get me wrong I love the Ultimate Storm Shadow and CC as much as everyone else, but I like the new stuff to a degree too when its done right. Unlike most of the movie stuff, which is just horrid.

Zartanman, the first two I bought were Storm Shadow and Snake Eyes, too... and I swore they'd be the only ones I was going to buy. Oops.
Incidentally, I never tire of blaming Michael Crawford for my Sigma obsession, because it was his Snake Eyes review that persuaded me to give the series a try. Here is his review, which serves as a humbling dismissal to the tired "Sigma sux" nonsense: Sigma 6 Snake Eyes action figure - Another Toy Review by Michael Crawford, Captain Toy As for Marvel Figures done in that style and scale, they did exist... but if memory serves all they produced was Doc Ock and Green Goblin. I bought the latter, mostly for his sled, which included a cool snap-on bit of smoke trail. As for 4in Sigma Six figures, one of the figures in Hasbro's Vault is a diver... wearing a friggin' Sigma suit. I hated that we lost Sigma 6 in favor of 25th Anniversary, which, a great exception here or there, was a HUGE step backward in engineering and design. Rise of Cobra was a huge improvement, but it wasn't until Pursuit of Cobra that the small scale caught up in terms of design and articulation and accessories. |

I never liked the little figures, they were just horrible. Just never built up any love for the cartoon either since it seems like the Joes spent too much time beating up robots instead of fighting all the cool Cobra characters.
At first I even thought I'd dislike the 8" figures. But after opening some up and messing around with them I loved the line. It was a different look so it was like starting fresh with GI Joe. Those joints were amazingly tough. Turns out they weren't as hard to customize as I was guessing either. Really too bad none of the other Hasbro lines went with 8" figures since it was too much to ask to have GI Joe carry the scale by itself. Now it looks like 6" has gone back to being the other scale for Hasbro between the Marvel stuff and the Star Wars collector line. |

It's after seeing what Hasbro had done with sigma 6 and getting a snake eye that I went back into buying Joes...I think some of the designs are really cool, especially Firefly, his cobra version is wow. I'm really happy I managed to get 2 off ebay ( opened one and kept the other in box) even more after I realised how difficult it is to find one... some of the sigma 6 designs would actually turn really good if made into our usual scale of Joes...

I got back into Joes with S6 as well. Still have them displayed alongside my modern era collection and Sideshow Joes.
Wish we would have gotten more characters, like the unreleased Dusty and Zap.

Sigma 6 is for people that enjoy toys. You don't have to worry about breaking anything, they offer soft goods(look how much SS charges for them) and the ports add alot of play features.
Like Monte said,i've boiled these things so many times and yet, they still hold up just like the first day they were opened. There will NEVER be a better built, more inventive line of Joe toys. Most joe fans weren't ready for thatIf you feed the trolls, they will never go away.He is just mad we have better toys. . I wonder if any of these people (mostly kids I'm guessing) who chime in with "sigma sux" every bought/played/enjoyed any of the classic action figures from the 70s like Action Jackson and the other Mego figures, LJN's SWAT figures, Big Jim or even the original GI JOE (yes I know those were 12" figures). I loved those figures as a kid and the Sigma 6 8" figures were just those kinds of figures done even better (more sturdy and cooler looking).

QUOTE] Cobra Firefly is, without a doubt, one of the best Sigma figures ever made. It took me YEARS to find him, and the search was SO worth it! The Sigmas are what i have on display too! Everything else is in storage, but the Sigmas are too awesome to box up! That Dusty haunts me. I want that, and Joe Colton, Short Fuze, Scarlett, Zanzibar, Wet Suit... I want them all! They're awesome! |

I loved the Sigma 6 action figures, nice design and lots of fun to play with. Highly underrated toys IMO.
