I can't figure out why I never got these when they were in stores. I always liked them, I even have a Snake Eyes Storm Shadow two pack that I got somewhere. My friend had one or two of them and we both thought the accessories were awesome. For some reason I just never picked them up. Maybe it was a money thing at the time or I was collecting something else. No clue.

Those pictures are from the JoeCon in... 2008 maybe? They had a display of a bunch of unreleased Sigma 6 stuff. Some really awesome stuff.

It's funny how many people here seem to have gotten into this late.
I'm one of them. I remember seeing the stuff and thinking "wow that looks great" but passing on it. It may have been that I wasn't collecting too much of anything or there just wan't enough Joe in general to pull me back in...but now I think they're great and I'm kicking myself. Though I guess like so many others 25th pulled me back into everything and now I'm seeing how much cool stuff was out there the whole time...even if it was a limited time. I can't wrap my head around these things not being some kind of exclusive. I mean what other Joe figures have catered to literally every Joe era and fan in one package? These things pay homage to the line and the fan. Why so short lived?? |

Yeah every time I see this stuff, I realize how cool all the Sigma 6 stuff was. Especially the ninjas.

it had a two year run at retail, about the same length of time as the 25th line, but shorter than the new sculpt line. and in that time it get a tremendous amount of products and support.
I never believed that the new sculpt line wasn't performing and that is why they switched to Sigma 6; I think it performed fine but when Sigma 6 was created Hasbro simply loved it and wanted top change course with G.I. Joe from the 3" scale. after a couple of years it did fine, maybe wasn't a massive runaway hit, and Hasbro decided to do another switch to the 25th Anniversary. |

Hellzyeah. The way his hair is scuplted around the cloth headband, freedom, his bow...1 of the best Sigmas i've got now. I like the fact it fires and doesn't use springaction...pull and release.
Edit:Not sure anyone has noticed...my sig is a Sigma 6 Alley viper i made. |
