Didn't get a chance to post this last week but I was able to meet up with Benjamin and Oliver to complete transactions with each of them. I enjoyed meeting both and talking Joes with them.

Hey Guys, Walmart at Manassas Mall has the Renegades. Saw SE, Duke, Cobra Commander and Firefly along with Hazmat Trooper this morning around 10am.

Not sure, there may be some sellers for toys, as there are a few comic stores in Richmond that sell toys. VA Comiccon has had some of the IDW GI Joe artists and Larry Hama before.

I went earlier this year. There were at least two vendors selling carded Joes. Came away with a bunch of 25th carded, like Stalker, Scarlett, Rock and Roll, all for about two or three bucks. This was on the 2nd day (Sunday), right at the very end of the show, when people were scrambling to sell as much as they could. There were also a bunch of the late '90s figures, got a carded Star Brigade for about $4. Tons of carded '90s Ninja Force. (Esp. Scarlett with the thunder-thighs.) Still, the Star Brigade figure I got was pretty sweet. Ended up selling it. There were a lot of the modern movie style "McFarlane" figures from different lines, but unfortunately, no loose Joes nor TF, etc. to be seen. I had a good time looking at old Golden era comics, and yakking with the Fangoria people that always seem to be there. Oh, there was also one 2000s Joe artist (America's Elite?) selling ink drawings for decent prices, couldn't bring myself to buy one though. I'm looking for an excuse to come back up there sometime, but can't make it for this one. You oughta let me know if you decide to go up there sometime, always like meeting people from the boards. |

Larry Hama will be at VA comicon next weekend . So that's a good reason to go.

F.Y.I., the website sucks. I felt like having a seizure while my eyes scanned around. Slow loading and googobs of too much info spread out all over the place. However, if it makes it easier on anyone, I was able to find out the following: - The VA Comicon is at the CROWNE PLAZA WEST (6531 West Broad Street Richmond, VA 23230) in Richmond, VA on Saturday and Sunday October 29-30 from 10AM to 4pm! - Admission is $10 per person for the entire weekend and CHILDREN 12 and under are FREE for the entire weekend! Children MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian. -There will be a Costume Contest Sunday Afternoon with $500 in CASH prizes. - There is an advance package available for $50. - ALL 3 of the cover artists of the ongoing GI JOE series from IDW, Herb Trimpe (The original artist to #1 in 1982 as well!) and SL Gallant (The ongoing interior artist for the book!) AND Larry Hama |
