Stopped by two Frys in Chandler this week and got a Sci-Fi and Airtight. There was a Lifeline too, but I left him behind. These purchases were for trading bait, I might add. I need Zombie Vipers! |

The ticket I got said I couldn't get in line until 12:30 so we took the kids around to see all the stuff. Yep, my 2 and 4 year old kids were with us and it was still bearable. Got near the beginning of the 12:30 line and bought my exclusives within an hour then spent the rest of the day cruising around. Quote:
Wow, until I read this here, I had no idea that we had a toy show coming up, ON my day off, and about 3 miles from my house! Sounds like the stars are lining up. We could definitely end up with a Sunday hangover while checking out the displays. Is there an official site?
Like I said, I have a huge display planned along with as much custom work I can crank out between now and then |

60% may be a low number as I have thought about it more. In all honesty there is only about 15% of the room that does action figures and out of that there has been only 3-4 tables with Joes including my own. It is a huge show with all sorts of collectibles fomr dolls to die cast and everything in between. It is def worth going just don't have high expectations for 400 tables of action figures.
This show does bring vendors in from other states including Texas and California. The California guys I know have a booth against the back wall before you get to the eatig area they always ahve tons of Joes and other 80s goodness. The Texas guys have 4 tables by the bathroom and they have joes usually $3-$5 vintage, go bots, and what ever else they can find. I am looking to be bought out so bring lots of money! |

Over the last weekend I went to the Wahhmaht off Greenfield & McDowell, they had nadda just empty pegs and sadness where the sunshine goodness of GI Joe Cards should've been hanging...I asked the lady assigned to toys and she said matter of factly that they prolly arent going to order any more Joes for a while? I've worked retail and this is usually a brush off comment as some customers liked to crowd the blue vest or red shirt (whereeve you work) so I hafta to wonder if the Wallyworlds are holding off til the those confused movie toys start arriving. I think I'm going to order that last wave online *gasp* the hunt maybe over for me as I tire of filling up the gas tank to find empty pegs and regret but ona lighter note I did buy that MU 2pack of Cyborg Thor/Goliath (the one that had been there for 17$ for almost a year) it was 10$ not a bad buy.....down the road at the Wahmaht off Stapley and the 60 I used a left over Walmart xmas card 10$ to purchase the Marvel Universe 2 pack Wolvy vs Sentinel, they had clearanced them down to 25$ not too bad so I paid 15$ & some change, they had also clearanced Pirates of the Carib. Queen Anne Ship down to 15$! so if your into pirates or maybe Shipwreck & Torpedo want to finally settle down retire & sale the seas together in an old school ride that playset maybe for them......good luck tankers and madmen....
