Shin-Gouki: I grew up playing in South Tucson and in Mexico (kof) and pretty much anything was allowed as long as you were not blatantly cheating IE game breaking glitches. Occasional fights happened, (I never saw any) but people get upset about certain set-ups/strategies, but all in all, pretty much anything goes. At EVO especially. Shinanigans/ sneakiness is highly encouraged. I am a Fei Long/Gen player, and Gen is all about the silliness.
I'm not sure if you are referring to "cheap" tactics like tic throws, fireball traps, aggressive zoning, heavy turtling, aggressive rushdown Etc. I have run into people who have called that "cheap" or flat out "cheating", but that is a misconception. It is all avoidable and all part of intermediate to advanced level SF. I for one will throw someone every chance I get if it is there. It's a street fight, anything and everything goes. Granted, if I play new players, or really inexperienced players, I won't use advanced set-ups or just go all out, as I am interested in expanding the playerbase, but at a tourny or in casual play against solid players, I play to win. Although, I do dislike excessive taunting, or smack talk, but that is all in the game and goes a long way to show the diversity in opponents that you come across. Smack talking is a form of mind game in itself. I know some real a-holes who are intensely good and also incorporate a mind-game angle that involves sh!t talking. I've seen it win tourys. I agree though, take that stance and assume that you have to deal with any of the consequences that come along with it. Like I said though, I never see anything come of it, most people in my experience like to get angry, but don't actually want to get into a physical confrontation, and certainly not over a game. Well, although I am pretty damn serious about my SF. And I love to have discussions about it, be it about strat/ match-ups or even interesting social aspects of different player bases, it is obvious this is something you don't want to talk about and I can respect that. It's too bad though, as I am always looking for skilled players.

I'm not adverse to having a meet-up to play sometime, I'm just Old School I guess.

Can someone give me the UPC for Spirit? Also, does anyone know if the Item Number is the same as the POC Wave 1 figs and what the Item Number is?
It seems they have removed Spirit and Quick Kick from the TRU website now.

the exclusives usually have a completely different Item Number than the rest of the carded figures. In the TRU sale ads, they list all of the ITEM NUMBER that are relevant to the sale.
