I am looking for information regarding an old Child World/Children's Palace toy store. I found some info that said there was a proto-type 20k square foot store built in Paduka, KY. Does anyone know if this store was ever built? If so is there a business currently operating in the old Child World store?

Any info would be appreciated.

Maybe that's the one I'm thinking of actually... Sears was there on the corner of the shopping center in St Matthews. Now a Best Buy.

There was a "Children's Palace" here in Lexington when I was a kid. It went out of business a few years after Toysrus popped up around here. Been almost 20 years.

On another note, I found some 25th Anniversary figures this week at a couple of places. I found A BAT and Croc Master at Marshall's in the "Hamburg" area. They also had two Muts and one Para-Viper. Plus a bunch of Mighty Mugs. The figures are $4 and the Mighty Mugs are $5.99. I also made visits to three different Family Dollar Stores and Big Lots. I found Tripwire and Pilot Scarlett at my first stop (Near Russel Cave Road). The second stop only had Tripwire (New Circle across from "The Golden Corral") and then the last Family Dollar (Eastland Shopping Center) I picked up A Snow Serpent and a second BAT. The stores seemed to only have a combination of those figures. Big Lots (Also in the Eastland Shopping Center) also had Pilot Scarlett as well, but she was the only one.

Finally the long, long wait is over- found one lone POC Hiss Tank @ TRU St Matthews just a bit ago after work. Nothing else there, at least not on the shelf.

Yeah, congrats! I'm hoping to snag a Snowcat myself. Heard the vehicles were spotted at Meijer, so will probably check them out tomorrow.
