Man I don't know what it was like here when the 25th came out but that shit was brutal in San Diego. I would hit 10 stores or more and see absolutely nothing. I watched TRU employees walk out with unopened cases. Hopefully they were Joe fans.

25th had some waves that I never saw, but then TJ Maxx, Marshalls, Homegoods, BigLots, Five Below, and Family Dollar got them in droves and things became much easier. (the same mostly applies to ROC)

During that great Joe/TF Hasbrolanche of toys, the above stores became my favorite places to shop.

I never had an issue finding 25th joes they seemed to be everywhere. Its been the last few years or so that these things have been scarce. I just think it goes back to production and the amount each store orders. There would be no need for scalping if each wave was more readily available. But to be completely honest its the POS repackers that really are bending everybody over. They screw the average buyer, collector, and store alike.

The only 25th waves I remember having difficulty finding before they showed up in droves at discounters were the black Stormshadow wave, the Matt trakker wave, stealth wraith, some 2-packs, and the single carded boxed set figures like Storm Shadow and Destro.

Looking back, I'm still a bit glad I did not yet make my 25th-now want list because the figures have just improved so vastly in such a short amount of time that there are probabaly a few 25th guys I could just do fine without now.

I never had a problem with online retailers fulfilling a pre-order, and I've spread the wealth to several e-tailers. But then again it's only SW, Joes, and MU for me - three pretty reliable lines. I don't get into the TF stuff

Be glad you haven't. The mass influx of new fans has made TF collecting very difficult and pricey. Just today, my brother was telling me how Masterpiece Grimlock is selling for 200-400 new and 100-250 used.

I have scaled back on TFs tremendously, and it doesn't help that the new stuff is overpriced and downgraded.

For you Kreo fans out there, the Warwick TRU has Ghoststrikers. i picked it up earlier on the west coast and it is a fun little set. The jet is larger than I expected and Ace looks awesome.
