Yeah I seen rev. Horton Heat about 90 times. These guys take me back to Horton Heat touring with Rancid, it was a summer tour in fields outside. Warm day cool breeze, ice cold beer from a cooler we were allowed to bring in! Fu-king Paradise, brother. We even found a couch under a tree at a show in Gardner, MA one time.

I like punk/hardcore (My college years were spent with the Revelation Records and Dischord catalogs).
I like old school country (grew up on Mickey Gilley, Alabama, Oak Ridge Boys, Johnny Cash etc). I hate rockabilly. I do like $10 figures shipped to my house for free. I don't like having to wait until the end of September, especially since it's only the second day of August. |

BarrelRoll- did you see that friggin repack Joe 3 pack with the 5 poa clutch body in place of beachheads body? All the good gear was stripped also. Can't believe they were blind enough to take it back!

Those two packs are shity, IMO.
Characters who have already been issued with better versions, coming with minimal gear and 5 poa! Terrible. I wonder if I'd feel different if it was joe two packs of the same caliber. I'd be bummed if it was 5 poa duke and cobra viper, but the army builder might be worth it. How do you SW guys feel about these?

I'd be bummed if it was 5 poa duke and cobra viper, but the army builder might be worth it. How do you SW guys feel about these? The new ones coming out in 2014 are even better. The Han/Chewie and 3PO/R2 Mission packs revealed at SDCC are very nice to look at and will display nicely next to the vintage figures. The first wave is lackluster due to the character selection - more Anakins and Obi-Wans? Really? But wave 2 gives us some classic OT figures. The Stormtrooper coming out is perhaps the best overall sculpt of a ST ever done. Even the 5POA haters love the head sculpt. Look at this and tell me you don't want multiples, lined up to greet the Emperor as he gets off his Shuttle. I embrace these because I'm a child of the 80's and I know Hasbro isn't going to stop making Super Articulated figures. It's all the chicken little SW collectors who fear it's the end of the line if these succeed. Yet they fail to acknowledge all the new and resculpted figures comingout in the Black Series. 5POA isn't for everyone but for me they fucking rock. Now if Joe went to a 5POA line I'd be irrate because Joe has always been better articulated than SW. But since SW has a history of this limited articulation, I'm OK with it. That's my $.02 anyway. |
