Couple of my custom vipers... Black one is the squad captain. The other is heavy explosives expert. Pretty simple but I hope you can dig 'em.

DS, good call on The Thing 2011. Really well done prequel. I think I have a new love in Mary Elizabeth Winstead. All involved with Prometheus should have taken notes rather than be all cutesie with the linage.

Here here on the Prometheus point. What I liked about TT 2011, was how awesome shit is happening, then it bends during action and fits just so where it needs to go to connect to the classic carpenter movie. Borrowing heavily from the aesthetic and score and paceing of the first movie, it used cgi in a way the del toro used it in the devils backbone. Simply, to do shit you just can't do in the natural world without a heap more money. Some instances of cgi use are to achieve an effect that just can't be done in the real world, for several reasons ie. money, production limitations, space location limitations.
