Totaly caught off gaurd by the news today. I turned on the radio hoping to hear some sports and was met with that news instead. With a 4 and 8 year old, we try not to have the news on. Too much bad news. So I couldn't wait to get out of the house and get into the car to get the updates from overnight.

Honestly I was OK with going to BCC this weekend up until last night. Now I'm a little on edge. I don't think anything will happen at the con but just heading to that area gives on pause.

I would have thought they wouldn't bother with a comic con, but it's a valid soft target given the size of the crowd... This sucks.

Beam we wrote and asked for ticket refund Wednesday. Supposedly they refunded but nothing had shown up on out cc acount yet. Thinking they just yessed me so i wouldn't write back.

Wife was uneasy taking commuter rail and walking around that area. Not because of security but the emotions of everything are still to raw.

I can understand that. I'd be hesitant too if I had to get on a train or be in an enclosed station. We traditionally ride into Boston by car and park on the street. Sunday is a quiet day and you can find some decent parking if you don't mind walking a block or two.

I'm sure you'll get your money refunded. It may take some time but the organizers are stand up guys. I've know of them for a couple years and have been a vendor and attendee of the con since it started.

So far we're a go. I'm thinking at this point the con organizers are too deep into it to cancel. They have already said they will have security there checking bags. They asked attendes to not bring backpacks if they can do without it and asked cosplayers not to bring any prop weapons.

Crazy day for all of us here. My guess is that all of this will end very quickly, probably by the end of the day or tomorrow at the latest. This scumbag needs to turn himself in, he'll never be able to hide from now on. Hopefully he doesn't wind up like his brother and we get some answers out of him and closure to the families of those affected by this series of tragedies.

In happier news, I got my Club store Big Boa and Topside yesterday, that was some FAST shipping, I think I ordered them less than a week ago. I'm going to come right out and say that Big Boa is single-handedly not only the best FSS figure (so far and probably of all of them), but the best figure the club has ever created among all their exclusive figures.

Just read Bleeding Cool site. They have a short article about Con. Organizers are still saying its on. but they are posting tweets to vendors that they can't get to the Hynes to unload and all transportation is shut down.
They are kind of stuck in a situation no one could ever have envisioned.

Glad you asked! I was going to text you about it. While my original Big Boa had a great bubble and card with just a bit of adhesive missing from the bottom, This new one had a slightly more intact bubble with better adhesive but it did still have an open part towards the bottom. However, the bottom of the bubble was slightly crushed so I ended up opening the newer one. I will add a thin layer of glue to my original BB's card to repair the opening. Topside is an awesome figure but what the hell is going on with that neck post? If you twist it even slightly to the right or left, it pops off! It's like the socket doesn't fit snugly over the ball post. Great reuse of the 5-pack Shipwreck body though.

I never tried to turn the neck on mine since the vest rides up pretty high so I never noticed how easily it pops off. He is a great figure. That head will be popular if it ever gets casted.

Saw that too. The stress levels for all involved have to be high. Not only about unloading but spending a weekend in a city besieged by terror.
