Some nice Joe photos coming out of TOy Fair. Official presentation hasn't been put on the web but this is one of the first floor shots I've found.
CC and Storm Shadow. Great looking CC, from the Concept Vault right. And this SS might knock Renegades SS out from being most people's definitive SS. https://twitter.com/T16skyhopp/statu...885376/photo/1 Retaliations line up. There is a Data Viper on the shelf as he and Kwinn are announced as being released. https://twitter.com/T16skyhopp/statu...678848/photo/1 New Tomahawk. Lots of upgrades according to the Hisstank front page. https://twitter.com/T16skyhopp/statu...904448/photo/1 |

That is a nice Storm Shadow. I might get that as my main Storm Shadow and use the other one as my Renegades version.

That new Cobra Commander looks SICK!!!!!!! That's the version I've been waiting for for YEARS. I love his mini Fang copter backpack too, very nice touch. Storm Shadow looks amazing as well, he certainly may top the Renegades one, but he's a different style of SS so I'll have to have him in hand to compare them officially.
I knew from the beginning that we'd eventually get both Kwinn and the Data Viper, people disagreed with me but I knew it was only a matter of time before they showed up. The tooling was made and they just needed to find the right time economically to show up. Also, that "Ultimate Firefly" is cooler than the tribal nickelodeon one in wave 2 but still not as classic and awesome looking as the Retaliation 3-pack Firefly. The tomahawk looks good, just like the '86 version so I'm interested to see more shots of it and what they added to it. Lifeline and Lift Ticket will be pleased. What do you guys think of METROPLEX! Yes, he deserves the capital letters. I must confess that I found out about him 3 months ago from a former Hasbro employee, and even saw prototype photos of him in the model shop and was sworn to secrecy of his existance. Apparently the Hasbro designers were carrying him around the building and showing everyone and this person snapped a pic. $125 is reasonable for such a behemoth toy, can't wait to get ahold of him. How lucky we are to be here at a time when such amazing toys are becoming available.

Now I don't feel bad about not finding a Renegades SS. That new sleeveless Storm Shadow is what many folks wanted to begin with. And all those other figures, Kwinn, Data Viper, Cobra Commander, Budo! The new Transformers! Marvel! Star Wars! Ahhh!
Wow, a lot of great stuff from Hasbro here. It's like they took a bunch of stuff intended for 2012 and shoved it all into 2013! Quote:
Some guy totally abandoned his car across my street, preventing plows from clearing the street for people on it. A big city plow just came by and pushed all the show up against this guy's car.

Lifeline? He won't even see the new Tomahawk in my Joe-verse...save for when he gets chopped up by the blades a-la 28 weeks later style.

As a hardcore Star Wars fan and where Joe has usually placed second in my collecting interest, I have to admit the GI Joe offering for 2013 blow away the Star Wars stuff.
Awesome line up. |

Sounds like a good idea for a custom figure.

After seeing all the pictures of Metroplex I'll need a 3rd party one to be made.. It's alright but nothing to what the Chinese can come up with..
Might get it if I can get it at a deep discount price!

Hasbro Metroplex: ~$125 Future 3rd party unproduced Metroplex: ~$450 I think he's actually pretty decent for $125, although I would rather see him around the $99.99 mark. Hasbro has been improving greatly with their large playsets in the past couple of years, just look at the spectacular AT-AT, that thing is amazing and was truly worth the $99.99 I paid for it. I just appreciate them giving us this Titan-class figure and continuing with their generations/FOC line, so I have little to complain about. When was the last time we got a 24" tall figure!? I'm pretty happy with what I've seen at this year's Toyfair: lots of great updated figures and vehicles with more 80s homages and nods thrown in.
