Opened up all my NECA Predators tonight. Out of all 5 (Big Red, Masked City Hunter, Borg/Lost, Cloaked Jungle Hunter, & Warrior/Ram), only Ram had a defect where his left arm was not molded properly around the elbow joint. It's bad enough that it'll need to be exchanged. Kinda pissed I didn't spot it in the packaging, but I didn't notice the defect because of the way the elbow was bent/posed in the sealed packaging.
Big Red's smaller sword required some work to fit into it's sheath. I had to take a small file and a trussing needle(I think that's what they call it) to clear any excess glue and plastic out of the sheath so that the sword had the proper clearance to slide all the way in. A quick 5 minute job, but it fixed that issue. Overall I am very impressed with these NECA Predator toys, and had the Ram not had that elbow defect, they all would have been fine. They are still to be treated as delicate collectibles, with their thin hard plastic wrist blades, tiny shoulder cannons, and thin weapons. However, the figures themselves still feel much more durable than McFarlane's offerings. However I still have to give McFarlane credit for actually going the distance to make the Predator's weapons work at such a scale. The collapsible spear, the med-kit, the removable mask, the control panel, the stumpy severed forearm, and the wrist blades that were made of durable, flexible rubber with a slide to position them still outdo what NECA has done so far. Whereas NECA's figures feel more durable than McFarlane's figures, McFarlane's weapons and accessories feel more durable than NECA's. Overall, I'm happy with these NECA Predators. I am looking forward to grabbing the wave 8 Jungle Hunter, Muddy Dutch, and the new ALIENS super-articulated Alien Warrior. If I want Alien & Predator toys I can have battles with and not worry about their durability, my old Kenner toys will be there to serve that purpose for me.

Got an ebay question for you guys: anyone ever ship internationally? What are the extra steps involved? I have my settings to US only so not to deal with extra headaches.
Guy in France sent me a message saying he'd buy it now and pay the shipping. I did the calculations and it looks like it would cost him $119 in shipping for $40 worth of used Visionary figures. Whats the protocol, do you guys tell buyers no, or just ignore them?

If some transactions went sour, look for reasons on the feedback or message sellers/buyers about this French guy. Internationally, I usually try to ship with insurance and delivery confirmation if they will pay for it. Shipping without insurance or tracking can be a risk because then he could always say he didn't get the item and file a dispute. Also, Customs could open up his package and fuck the items up.

Cool cause I was hoping it didn't come out like that. It's always hard to get the expression how to talk when your typing on the computer.

I'd take Shadow Ninja's advice and consider the toy show route. It can make for a long day but you might be able to move a ton of stuff if properly priced.
The South Attleboro show is coming up on February 24. It's a decent show but there should be a good crowd this time around because they haven't had a show since before Thanksgiving. MYMummy Collectables I'm sure the South Coast Toy and Comic show in May would be good too. They get some D level talent in there so that can draw more people than just having vendors. I might have to hit this year's show to grab Nein Numb's autograph for my SW collection. Southcoast Toy and Comic A guy had a UK Secrete Wars Ice man he thought was silver surfer just sitting loose in a pile of other crappy figs. He wanted an arm and a leg for it even though he didn't even know who it was. I got tired of the mark ups on retail stock as well. by the time I started seeing any vintage Joes the dealers wanted to much for them. I'd go just to hang out with you guys more so than for the toy show.

Tonight the Joes made a second attempt to take python mountain.
The mission is yet unsuccessful, but we have high hopes and low casualty numbers.
