Read about that on seibertron. Rest assured that if they come to Dedham, I'll get them! Speaking of which, those 4 masterpiece Thundercrackers that were at TRU on Wednesday were all gone by yesterday (Thursday).
In Star Wars news: I went to the Braintree Kmart tonight, as planned, and there on the shelf waiting for me was EXACTLY what I needed: 2x of the exclusive ewok scout 2packs and 2x of the exclusive ATST driver 2packs! One set of both for me and one set of both for Beam, as planned. 14.99 each. Not bad considering most single figures are $10-12 now and the target 3-packs were 24.99 each last month. They also had 2 B-Wings for $10 each. I passed on them. A few minutes later some douchebag came in, was talking on his cellphone while rummaging through the hot wheels cars like a maniac, then saw him snatch both of the B-wings, and caught him eyeing my Endor 2-packs like a fiend before walking out. He behaved like some sort of crazed drug addict. I gave him the "keep walking, moron" look and left with my figures, haha. I guess I arrived just in time! |

Last time I was at Walmart 3 or 4 different guys stopped at the Hot Wheels section to feel through all the blind packed bagged cars that they had. Not sure if any of them even bought any of them because I was too busy feeling through the blind packed lego minifigs.

Blind packed hot wheels? Glad I stopped buying that shit years ago. The damn hot wheels collectors pretty much destroyed the hobby for me. There were cars, simple first-edition cars (not even treasure hunts), that I could never find. It got so difficult that I just stopped giving a fuck about them.

Oh and I was up at a friends house tonight. We went out and I stopped in the Natick ToysRus. For Avengers, they have 1 movie Hawkeye, 1 comic Hawkeye, 1 Black Widow, and at least 1 deluxe Chitauri. For MU, they have 1 doom/spidey 2-pack and 1 she hulk. Absorbing man, red/black spidey, gladiator, Thor, steve Rodgers, union jack(near front display), 1st appearance wolvie, and I think iron fist. Also, the apocalypse multi-pack. And those 3 packs like x-force and guardians of the galaxy. Marvel Legends wave 1.
For Joes, they have the retaliation boat, single carded roadblock, Stormshadow, snakes eyes, duke, Zartan. 30th cobra commanders, 1 renegades ripcord. 30th renegades black dragon copter/plane thingy, crimson hiss tanks, Skystrikers. Roc ripcord vehicles. Maybe 1 POC cobra mech. 2 retaliation 3-packs of roadblock/Kamakura/beachhead. Nothing worth noting for Star Wars. Did not see any speeder bikes. Transformers selection was crap unless you like yellow camaros. That's pretty much it. Not much, but it felt like a better selection than what I have back at my home TRU's.

Hey speaking of Nick Fury, if anyone is looking for new Avengers figures, check out the Random KB toys-replacement store "Toy Smart" (or was it "Smart Toys"? I can't remember now) on the bottom floor of the Cambridgeside Galleria- I stopped in yesterday and they had FULL pegs of each figure (8-10 of each character) from the new waves. I saw 8 Nick Fury, 9 Black Widow, 8 Chitauri, 8 Comic Hawkeye, 9 of the new iron man, movie hawkeye etc. I grabbed a second Nick Fury for parts. Guy working there said they "just got in 11 palettes of stuff and TONS of figures" so there's plenty more out back. All figures were 12.99 each, about standard price or a little higher depending on where you typically go to shop.

The only Hot Wheels stuff I actively look for is the TV/Movie based cars. And those I don't even look too hard since even paying $5 each isn't too bad since they only put out a couple of those a year.

Had to dig through my parents basement to clean out more of my stuff. Found my WHALE; this spent everyday with me in my grandparents pool. Sadly all the tabs are broken so I can't rebuild it. I do have an offer in on ebay for a nicer one.
Found these old favorites too. Most are my brother's, found the Batmobile in a bin with some Joe vehicles.
