I think HASBRO made a huge mistake on releasing all these figures on new cards. It now makes trading (not like that matters to them) useless and not fun because everyone has every single figure. (the main reason babeball cards are now extinct)
Values & collectibilty are destroyed, and now the pegs are clogged with figures nobody wants. Wave10 now is MIA because of the push to get all this junk out of circulation. I think the cons greatly outweigh the pros in this decision. Any thoughts? |

Anyway, the revision cases are popping up everywhere now (well, Wal-Marts at least) so you should be able to get most of last year's figures if you missed them the first time around. The timing isn't that great (these would make great holiday season filler as a follow-on to Wave 10 and Wave 11), but at least they're getting something out there. Even my local Wal-Mart-that-restocks-once-every-six-months has these, which is good now that the Wave 6 revision cases from last spring have started to sell through. Who knows, maybe everyone searching for sold out Bakugan stuff will turn to Joes instead (Overheard in Wal-Mart today: "If they're so popular, why can't they just make more?" Sound familiar?). As in the world of baseball cards, you can't count on any of these holding (or gaining) value, so just get what you like and don't look back. With any luck, we'll see the Wave 10 and 11 figures in revision cases when the line returns in 2010... |

mttlg, if you read closer i said "not like it matters to HASBRO". I honestly don't care what you wrote or what you think is the reason, I collected baseball cards for many years and knew a few dealers, and they all know the reason that hobby died was they made millions (and technology had a big role as well...kids wanted XBOX's instead of cardboard that does nothing exciting) of cards as opposed to a limited amount like back in the 50's - early 80's ( I say this because as of about 1987, cards were pretty much worthless).
The whole point of "collecting" is to interact with other collector's, trade, talk about, hunt for, etc...that is what makes this hobby so great. Like "hey, I got something you need...you got something I can't find", secondary market values, "rarity", having a "holy grail", having a super-rare piece that is the pride of your collection, etc...I can go on. stop bickering and stand-offish about it and go to sleep. |

I've been finding my Wave 10 at Stop and Shops. I'd suggest checking there. I've gotten the whole set at one point or another there, and they are only 5.99 a figure!

Boston area is a wash.
Nothing in South Bay Mall, Watertown or Everett Targets. Havent trooped down to Dedham TRU yet. Co sign on the Stop n shops though. I did get an old Barroness I dneeded for customizing, and several Clone wars and droid star wars figures that are hard to find.
