I really think these are a figment of your imagination. These are more elusive than Big Foot, Yeti, and the Lockness Monster. Pegs are choking on Bumblebees. Last edited by BEAM; 06-05-2012 at 12:07 PM.. |

Figured I would throw this out there since I'm in no rush to buy any Retaliation Joes and I'm not collecting Transformers PRIME toys...
If anyone happens to spot these older LEGO Hero Factory sets during their store travels, pm me. Looking for them in sealed boxes that aren't smashed: Von Nebula, (toysrus exclusive) Bulk vs. Vapor, & Fire Lord. I always try to buy them when they are on sale. Sometimes the stores don't have certain sets come sale time and I miss out on them. This happens rarely for me. I will pay the top retail price for Von Nebula ($20) and Vapor(&25), I will only want Fire Lord if he is below his $20 retail price. But that's not what you're looking for is it? |

How's this for a good deal? TRU in Dedham must have had 9 later-wave ROC (yes, rise of cobra) figures stashed away in storage somewhere, they appeared on the pegs yesterday-very dusty but in perfect condition. I bought the only Kamakura, a Helix, and 2 Flash figures... all were $3.98 each!!! There was also a green nano-viper, a charbroil, a black-coat doctor, and 2 neo-vipers.
Once again, I bought a MOC Kamakura for $3.98 at mainline retail in June 2012. Who would have thunk? I used to have 2 of them, opened one and ended up trading one for 2 POC AVs back when POC wave 1 came out, I always regretted that but now I have my MOC Kamakura back again. Went back today and all that remains of the ROC stuff are the nano-vipers and the Doctor. Also, just as a side note- I compare the ROC figure construction and parts usage to the Retaliation figures, and it's just sad at how much better they are. Everybody whined about ROC and I didn't like most of the characters or designs either, but the figures are just so much better than any of the limited articulation figures we're getting today.

Hahaa no, not this one. I never hid any ROC stuff that I can recall, and even if I did it would have never included neo-vipers or The Doctor, lol.

The overall quality of the plastic seems better than than Retaliation. I was surprised at how flimsy the knee joints were on the Joe Trooper. Some of the Captain America movie line figures were like that ... very rubbery. |

I always liked the non-movie figures and thought they fit in well with the rest of my collection, even TRU exclusive Doc with his bright colors. I never liked the on-screen characters. I have them but they are stored away, destined for a life in the dark.

Some of the Captain America movie line figures were like that ... very rubbery. Also, I've noticed that the Joe Trooper definitely does have soft, flimsy knees that are similar to the Marvel movie figures too. Although I still think generally most of the Thor, Captain America, Marvel Universe and Avengers stuff is slightly harder, cheaper plastic and can't compare to the quality of a joe- even the sub-par ones we've recently been getting. I don't know, maybe since I'm partial to joes I can't tell that they're all similar at this point. I should add that the Iron Man 2 figures were pretty decent construction though. Then again, there were about 150 million of those figures (all of different random iron man costumes) made that just sat on pegs so that could be what drove Hasbro to do things slightly cheaper, who knows. How boring... it's like having a Star Wars movie line of 45 different versions of Luke. I get the whole "popular character demand" thing, but throw some villains in there!
