That Ghost hawk looks like it'd be great to modify, I'd give it a lil puff the magic dragon feel to it, but that's just me.

Yes, yes you did. Oh well, guess that beer can just be considered for my homies. The connecting point is very different between the tanks, so I'm first going to attempt just swapping treads(after some grinding and sanding of course), if not, I'll try the fixture swap after.

I struck out this weekend at 3 Targets, all had the movie figures in the backroom... The first one told me over the phone outright that they couldn't sell them yet, the second one had an insane-looking employee that looked like Doc Brown go into the stockroom for me, but came out with the familiar news that they're unavailable until the 28th, and the last one I called and they confirmed that they had them and to come in and they would pull them from the stockroom for me, but when I got to the store there was a toothless white trash employee that refused to fetch them for me because of the date she saw on the carton. Damn! Oh well, I'm glad to have found some stuff so far, which is more than I could have expected.

Which stores did you check?

Technically, they can sell them. They're just not supposed to put them on the shelves before that date according to the box and what they have listed in the computer. After they pulled the 2 cases for me at Taunton, the girl checked the computer to see if they could even sell them (if it would allow them to) and it said they could. The box just says do not put on shelves until 5/28.

Haha oh don't worry, I'm well aware that they can sell them- after all I had convenient access to 4 cases (2 at Framingham and 2 at Stoughton) and they can certainly be sold, but it's just the fact that they have "no location" on the sales floor yet and the additional inconvenience of the release date printed on the box technically means that they can't "sell" them to customers yet (per Target's policy).

And unfortunately, I won't be revealing the locations of the Targets that I visited, because I'm planning to return to them all myself on the 28th to get some figures I still need and that someone else has asked me to get for them. After a past experience when some anonymous lurker took advantage of someone's report of the 30th stuff first showing up and cleaning everywhere out, I'm not taking any chances.

On a side note, Job Lot has IDW tradepaperbacks for $2. They are located with the books. A friend of mine scored the GI Joe Classics Vol 9, Transformers: Spotlight, Star Wars Old Republic, Ray Park penned Snake Eyes mini, and GI Joe issues 7-12 trades for me. THey mostly have the ROC prequel and Transformers, Star Trek, A-Team and Terminator junk but if you search around various stores you can find good books. I found the Worst of CC and Destro trades near me.

For anyone still looking for the RoC MARS 3 pack, Big Lots in the Greendale mall in Worcester has at least 24 of them. They had 26 up until 30 minutes ago, figured I'd grab a couple for the heck of it at $7 each.
