It is the 26th. I've been twice before. Both times I was able to pick up a lot of great stuff, and not just Joes; they have all the really cool action figures. There is a thread about it in the conventions forums.

Non Joe-related find:

TRU in Dedham has tons of Avengers stuff out, single-carded figures, deluxe figures, vehicles, etc. Can't even believe how completely awful they look, absolute garbage. They're in line with that laughable bunch of Green lantern movie figures we got last summer.

They also had some TF: Prime Optimus Prime Voyager figures for $26.99. No, you didn't read that wrong, TWENTY-SEVEN of your goddamned hard-earned dollars for a regular Voyager-class Transformer. Before you know it, tiny Legends-class figures will be like $10 each. Sorry, I digress.

Based on the few I've been to last weekends, it seems like most TRUs are changing their action figure aisles around too, as now Wrestling (seriously?) is where the Star Wars figures used to be, across from the TFs, and Star Wars has moved to where the Marvel Universe/DC stuff was. across from the Neca & McFarlane figures. In Dedham, Joes are now reduced to a tiny single peg of Renegades CCs which is basically squished out of sight at the end of their aisle with random clearance junk. Sad indeed.

Looking forward to seeing a huge GIJOE movie display of tons and tons of figures (I hope, lol) in the front of the store once the movie comes out, even if I am going to be buying just a handful of them.
