Well, I saw pretty much everything there. Except Flint. But I FINALLY got my Flash. & while there picked up what I was missing from Wave 7 out of sheer laziness. Anybody heading out there should be able to find anything Pre Wave 8(except Flint & Flash) You're going to pay 10-15 bucks a piece, but if you're tired of looking for the older waves & need it now, you're in luck. Tack on the 20 buck entrance fee, 5 bucks for parking if you et there early, & you're talking some bucks...
The worst thing I saw: Firefly for 40.00 bucks. I hope whoever looks at that waits for the next case to be released... |

Exactly why I'm passing on the con this year. I don't mind spending money, but the 'value' they give isn't very high. Unless your into the celebs that come to that show, you're better off paying $3 to attend their Xtravacons they hold throughout the year IMO.

Noizeindex is right, don't pay the outrageous amounts for these since they are coming out again, but if you are desperate, then go ahead. One thing cool for sure was that there was a guy dressed up as storm shadow, looked home made, but cool anyways.

Correct, the con isn't for everyone. As someone who collected Star Wars/Indiana Jones/a bunch of other stuff, along with going every year anyways, I've always gone just to go. I like seeing the Star Wars costumes up close, I've been putting off a Tusken Raider costume for over a year now(probably because of the new Joes!) It brings back a lot of memories for me so the price is justified. Also, the 25th line is the first collection I have that I bought 95% at retail. For me that's been unheard of. I feel like I've saved a lot money, so buying a few figures at cons like this is also worth it.
Collecting does take a lot of work. Checking out Hisstank daily, BBTS for updates, other random internets, & going to every Target, Walmart, TRU within a 20 mile area, with an occaisional Meijer/Kmart, trying to make my "rounds" once a week depending on where I'm working, or what I need to do that week, & incorporating it all together so I can also do other things in life like cut the grass, see my girlfriend, go to work & be a regular human being.. Wow, maybe it was easier before I became obsessed;) |

did you guys know that the WM at Adams and m-59 does not have a single GI Joe? There is no rack space and the staff there thought they were 'old'.
