I really hope that we start seeing some cool stuff again so this board can have a second life. I've been following this board for a couple of years and I've never seen it this quiet before.

I'm hoping that they'll announce some new Kre-o at Joe Con. Anyone else have anything that they're hoping they'll announce toy-wise?

Joecon needs to have some big news. I want more than I can possibly explain to see some new life breathed into this franchise. And I don't mean anything having to do with Channing Tatum or the Rock, either. They just flat out ARE NOT Conrad Hauser and Marvin Hinton. I don't dislike them on their own, but as G.I. Joes... no.

There's this weird part of my brain which refuses to accept that G.I. Joe is not still the absolute titan of the toy industry as it once was back in the 80's. I mean, how can a brand which has so many great characters, vehicles, and stories not even BE in retail stores when franchises from the same time period are still going strong? It's a rhetorical question. I have many hypotheses, and most of them have to do with brand management.

I think that it's ABSOLUTELY brand management. I don't think the fact that the more recent toys have been poorly designed helps with the appeal to non-collectors/franchise fans much either. I will be the first to admit that while I used to try to get everything that they put out I only grab things here and there anymore. There's no love in these toys anymore and I can feel it all throughout the franchise.

They keep bringing Transformers back but it's like Joe doesn't even exist in Hasbro's mind half the time. I really enjoyed GI Joe Renegades but they killed it before it had much of a chance to go while Transformers ran several seasons and has a new show as of right now. I just don't understand why they don't even try with Joes. The breath of fresh air for me with Joe has been the Kreos but considering the last set was online only and no word of anymore blind bags (unless Joe Con brings some good tidings of great joy) leads me to believe that they have probably moved on from those too.

It's a really sad state for a damned good franchise but with time I guess all great things start to fade.

I know you are! I see that you're probably one of the most active members on here.. I just know that it takes more than one person to keep a conversation alive.

Admittedly, I haven't been trying too hard to keep it going.. I typically don't have a lot to say unless I'm bouncing off of others responses.

Somebody cleaned house in Cary!

I went back for the last Blind Master and paused for a sec as I realized the scope of it!

It's a good thing though as prices are right and odd things are there.

Have you been to the flea market since it's warmed up a bit? Are the inside and outside action figure guys stocking good stuff?
