You mean like how you have 10 of these for sale that you are asking $25 each for on your BST thread?

Greg has helped me out more than any forum member on any site.
Put your pitchforks away until you know the guy. He's supporting a very expensive plastic habit. |

Yeah, there is a TRU across the street from Hanes Mall. It's actually a pretty great one too. As Falconhood said earlier, in that same shopping center there is a great comic book shop with lots of cool toys as well called Ssalefish Comics. They're located at:
3242 Silas Creek Parkway STE 20 Also, if you're ever in Greensboro, there's a cool comic book shop over there (with sufficiently less toys, unfortunately) called ACME Comics that's definitely worth a visit. And I agree about ACME comics - great place. Last time I was at a business conference in Greensboro, I stopped by there and spent a lot more money than I was planning to. (I think it may have had something to do with being beguiled by the lovely young lady working in the "family friendly" section of the store. Just... wow. Liz, I think her name was.)

Huh! I have never before figured out where Ssalefish Comics was, but I have heard its name mentioned. Next time I head out in that part of the state, I may need to pay it a visit.

But in all seriousness, I used to live in High Point so it was pretty much equal distance to ACME or Ssalefish. I'd recommend Ssalefish though. The cool thing (and also the crappy thing) about them is that they're in the TRU parking lot so they're there when the doors open on truck day. Because of this, they have a LOT of great merch, but it's more expensive than you could have got it if you had've beat them to TRU. That's my only complaint. Great classic toy selection though. Or, at least it was when I was last there a couple of years ago. Brett and the guys that run the place are great though. |

I have also been beguiled by that lovely lady. It's easy to do! I first met her the day that I got married.. TALK ABOUT TIMING! haha.

This was months ago, but I still remember. I bought a $50 Figuarts Super Saiyan Gokuu just so I could have something to buy. LOL. (Well, I did sort of already want it, but wasn't really thinking $50 for it. I'm not even that big a Dragonball fan - but I do like the styling and articulation quite a bit. Plus, it looks REALLY pissed off.) She must get hit on allllll the time. I can't believe I've never noticed that Ssalefish is right there with TRU. For as many times as I've stopped there on the way to Mooresville, I must really be oblivious. Duh.

To be honest, I'm not THAT surprised that you've missed Ssalefish.. it's kind of tucked back near a corner. I wouldn't have known anything about it, but one of my former managers used to be buddies with the guy who owns it, so when he found out about my love of not so modern comics (specifically the ones based off of 90's animated series i.e. Batman Adventures, Spiderman Adventures, etc) he insisted that I stop by. It's pretty easy to miss if you aren't looking for it though. The signage could use some improvement. I will say that their selection has gone down since they first opened, but I'm sure you can still find something you'd want.. And as of the last time I stopped there, there weren't any super attractive women to increase impulse buys. |

Did anyone else have problems with their Night Viper figures? I opened mine up (I've only found one to date) and it kind of sucked. The accessories are cool and all, but his foot wouldn't even fit onto the stand. The mold wasn't cut deep enough so he keeps falling off of it. His hand wouldn't hold certain weapons.. I just found it to be an over-all disappointment. I like it because it looks cool, but if I had've paid more than five bucks for it, I would be pissed! (Especially if I paid the jacked up prices that some people are asking for them)
Anyone else have problems with this figure or did I just get the bad one in the lot? |

Like NONE of my later retaliation figs have deep enough holes in the feet!
It's an overhyped figure for sure, a jungle viper with a cool hat. It's certainly worth every penny of $8. |
