Here in Greensboro, I found a full set of 6 at the Groometown Road Dollar General yesterday but nothing at the High Point Road store.

Looks like I need to load up and go shopping again. I'm more excited by these discount Joes than the movie verse offerings.

I found all but Storm Shadow of the basic line at the Dollar General in Morehead City, on the coast.

I just love retail. I really, really do. I visited a Dollar General store on Monday night and was told in no uncertain terms that this store would be able to order me a case of GI Joes, thanks largely to the handy photos which Ska_lives posted on the previous page. The person with whom I spoke instructed me to come back the next day at a specific time and speak with a specific person and that person would handle all of the rest. I do exactly this, only to find that this other person isn't willing to help me at all. He indicated that someone else had already been in the store earlier in the day asking for the same thing, and that they told that person that the item wasn't in the computer and they weren't going to order any. They said that I'd have to get them from the same store in the photos. What. The. Hell. So what was looking like not a lot of trouble for a single set is now probably going to be a ton of trouble. (I keep reminding myself that this is such a first world problem.) Anybody else had this happen?

I called DG and this lady was very helpful. The store was about to close, she found them in the back and paid for the figures so I could pick them up the next day.

Well I'm jealous. I presume this wasn't in Raleigh?

It was a store in Conover. I just went to DG's web site and started calling around. It was the fifth store I called. My stepdad lives at Lake Norman so he picked them up for me. Just a suggestion, try asking for a white box with six figures inside.

Never tried the white box line.I just asked for the new 6$ dollar joes and they knew what i was talking about.
