North Carolina G.I. Joe Sightings

Has anybody seen any new Joes lately? I haven't seen any of the last two waves. None. Really wanted at least 1 Steel Brigade but would have bought 2 of each character. Seems like Hasbro, TRU, Target and WM are loosing money. You can't even get any at HasbroToyShop. O' well , I guess there is always E-Bay where you can pay twice the price plus S&H.

Well, I got a new Joe this past week. I traded Recoil84 for a truly excellent Jungle BAT. I had originally written this figure off as a lame repaint, but it's actually got a lot going for it. Thanks very much, Recoil84!

Indian Trail Walmart was in the process of their toy reset last Friday (8/12/11) when I was there. I took a peek at the planogram sheets hanging there and there will be 4 pegs for figures and shelf space for a medium sized vehicle going forward!

Well, I've got a sighting and a missed opportunity. While at Wal-Mart on Wake Forest Road in Raleigh tonight, I saw a decent sized pallet which just happened to have a box labeled W1-11 GI Joe midsize vehicles - 2 per box. It just had to be the new VAMP and Black Dragon. I was on the phone and the box was about halfway down the stack, so I didn't have a good opportunity to cut the box and gank the VAMP. But it'll be there before long, to be sure. I did only see 1 box on the pallet.

Got all of the new 30th ann joes at walmart and 2 skyskystrikers at target. Belmont and Gastonia walmart had them.

Friend of mine found full case worth of the 30th figures and both vehicles at a Walmart in GSO today

Joe update: 1 Black Dragon and 1 Vamp at Triangle Town Walmart. I bought the Black Dragon but left the Vamp. Somebody covered them with some Thundercats toys.
