Haven't seen any lower that $15 Evo sets. I'll keep you posted if I see any. I'm looking for some $10 Imp Pilot sets myself.

Found one lone Ice-Viper today @ TRU in Pineville. Had several of the exclusive Barbeque in stock. No Steel Crusher vehicles though...which is why I went since they were on sale.
K-Mart across the street had an Ice-Viper as well...but their figs were $8.99! No vehicles at all. Target down the road in Pineville had one Ice-Viper as well + the usual figures. Paris Pursuit SE and armored Scarlett are starting to be easier to find.

I completely forgot about the TRU sale starting today. However, I will be going to get my receipt price matched.
A couple friends went this morning to the Cary TRU. Nothing much new there but they did manage to score Firefly. So Darren, if you read this post, call me or pm me. You have some stuff I need and you want more space and probably money on top of that. Contact me so we can work out a deal.

I was the first in the door today, but I didn't need to be GSO TRU had all the same figures they had since day 1 (No Paris figure wave and no Wave 3) Oddly, there were only 2 BBQ's and no Fireflys (I guess either a lot of people wanted them or someone thought they'd be worth something)
I guess we'll see what pops up Wednesday or so when they supposedly put up the front display |

So see if I can summarize this story.
- I've read on this site about the TRU 2 for $10 sale. - I've read on this site that Target has started a price matching policy. (They have certainly never done this before, as I've checked.) - I've also read that Target will apparently honor competitor's prices so long as an actual dollar value is included in the ad. - I've also read here that Target will retroactively price match against a competitor's ad any items which were purchased within the last 90 days. (This one seemed like a stretch to me.) - My stupid newspaper did NOT include the TRU sales flyer for reasons which I cannot explain. It seemed logical to me to attempt to find this all out for myself today, so I went to TRU in Cary to find out. I was hoping that they'd just have some Joes which I wanted, but no such luck there. I asked if they had a sales flyer, and I was told that they had ONE and it was a store copy which they could not give me. Knowing this, I went to Target in Cary and asked about their price matching policy. The rep I spoke with was very helpful and told me that they've only just started the policy within the past week. She said that as long as I could bring in a 100% complete newspaper-distributed ad from a competitor (meaning no internet prints), they'd honor it. I then specifically asked "what if the competitor's ad states buy 2 for $10," and was told that they'd still honor it. I couldn't get over this, but others on this site have corroborated it. Maybe it's because this policy is so new that Target employees aren't considering the details of honoring this...? Anyway, as soon as I find a sales flyer, I'm gonna see what happens if I take 2 separate receipts for purchases of 2 Joes each back to Target and see if they will adjust according to the TRU deal. Hell of a trick if it works, and I'm not returning anything. (Never have, never will.) Last edited by Axelay; 07-20-2009 at 12:12 AM.. Reason: cat on the keyboard - UGH |

I can verify that they finally have. Looks like waves 1 + 2, but a lot more of 1.
