Just to let any Kiwis that I found some new ROC figures today at my local Farmers store. They had Cobra commander, ice Viper, Paris persuit snake eyes, Duke in impact armour and desert ambush Scarlett. Oh, and storm shadow without his mask. They only had one of each so I got them all. They had the version of snake eyes with the grey timber.
So I guess there is a chance we will see more figures over here after all.

Hey, how hard/expensive is it to find/buy toys in NZ? I think I'm gonna go live there eventually, wondering what the toy-collecting atmosphere is like.

Glad you are finding some Joes. It never ceases to amaze me how international the Tank is. I wonder how many different countries of residence (not origin) are represented here.

Damn, nothing in my neck of the woods as of yet.
May have to do the rounds again on the weekend. DrNightmare: toy collecting here is touch and go for the most part. We never saw the 25th line, and for ROC we are only seeing a small part of what everyone else is. I don't think there is a huge folowing for joe stuff here in NZ, but you never know. Theres a TF's Nz website that i belong, mostly dealing with Tfs and the odd bit of other. The selection here is poor, close to 99% of what ive collected (joe's Tfs etc) has all been imported, and the shipping cost is what often kills it pricewise. There is a few events in the country that deals with pop culture, (armeggeddon springs to mind), and a few small stores that import toys themselves but do charge a premium. Theres only really 4-6 "chain" or "big-box" retailers that carry any toys of substantial amounts. The one benefit I guess from our small country isthat depending on what island you live on, you can almost travel from one end to the other in less than a day by car. Hope that helps somewhat. |

Feck, yeah my local Farmers hasn't had any new waves. Anyone in NZ got a Cobra Commander/Ice Viper/Paris Pursuit Snake Eyes sitting on a peg somewhere to ship to me? :/

I have every figure released so far but that is because I spent a fortune at BBTS. Nothing new in the mainland yet but Hasbro assure me that they have all been shipped out.

In the local Warehouse today, they have the Walmart exclusive 2-packs! GungHo/Copperhead, TunnelRat/MonkeyWrench, and Shockblast/NightCreeper! They even have the "Only at Walmart" stickers on them :P
Unfortunately couldn't ascertain the price however... |

Looks like the beginning of the end of seeing joes on the shelves again here in new Zealand. Hasbro recently had a factory sale weekend with the pit going for $100nzd and now The Warehouse have 50% off all joe product.
It was nice while it lasted. Oh well, at least I can go troop building. |
