By the way, Polyphenus - I saw in another thread that you have become a father - congratulations! I have 2 of my own, and you'll soon learn that there is no other feeling you can ever have that compares to the way you feel as a parent - it is unbelievably awesome! Good luck, and congrats to you and the wife - and the new little Joe collector!

Also forget to mention I used this $5 off coupon. It works on any Hasbro toy purchase no matter the cost. Usually I don't mess with these type cause they always seem to be fake, but this ine did work. No manager or anything was needed. Follow the link and enjoy boys!!

Originally I said I didn't care for the new HISS Tank - I didn't like the design and I thought the Mech Suits would be cooler.
But I have just opened the new HISS and BOY WAS I RIGHT! Bill (bhiga) I am with you 100% - this thing is garbage and I am extremely disappointed with it. Here are my problems: - "blueprints" don't show you everything - had to look at the box to figure out where the wires went - can't push the vehicle forward or in reverse without it popping into attack mode - it's brown - driver is OK but with a redesigned HISS a redesigned HISS Tank driver would have been cool End of rant. Still looking forward to the Mech suits and single figs. |

I have to agree. The tank had so many chances to hit a home run. If it had a better locking mechanisim, and not a clear canopy, but maybe slightly translucent it would be so much better. Then I won't even talk about the blueprints. The bumper, wires, steering column! Damn no love for them. Also a clear image of where the sticker that goes inside of the rear canopy please! WTF. If not for BOGO I'd be returning it for sure.

You guys said everything I was going to rant about but was so disappointed I didnt even think the toy deserved a rant.
EPIC FAIL!!! And it could have been awesome. That being said, with a few QC fixes, a black paint job and a semi clear black canopy (or clear red) I might consider buying one and turning it into a Resolute Hiss. I do have high hopes for the basic figures still....we shall see.

Somebody posted in the original forum where I got that coupon that it is a photo shop fake with a valid barcode. So guys don't use it. It will cause retailers to stop accepting manufacturers coupons all together.

I'm on the hunt for the new HISS... I don't care about the blueprints, and yeah, the Driver is a frankenjoe, but I keep him in the canopy, so not too concerned with that. Am concerned with the brown and closed canopy, but I need to see it in hand to decide if the brown is too, uh, crappy. Might be fun just to make a Resolute custom out of...

Oh, and be careful with that coupon. I think it can/does work (at least for another couple of weeks) but a) it's fake and could get refused/busted trying to use, b) the mods on here (or on TFW, can't remember) already warned some people that they'll be infracted for posting it.

In echo to everyone's assessment of the new vehicles: I deliberately skipped the HISS tank since I think it looks like something out of the Playmates Terminator toys that are still rotting at all my local TRU stores. Too cartoony looking and wouldn't stand a second in a real-life battle. The ugly figure is just the icing on the stale cake... The Snow Cat, on the other hand, is everything I hoped it would be and I'm totally ecstatic to have one, even if the outer box was a little dinged. Looks great and if you pop the Arctic Shipwreck head on the figure you almost get a new take on Frostbite. It was so much fun taking all the parts out and putting the thing together like I did back in the day when I first received the Tiger Cat. Side note: Did anyone else notice that the file name for Whiteout is taken from the guy who runs Lee's Toy Review? Not sure if he's a big G.I. Joe fan but I don't remember hearing anything online about the name before I spied it on the box...
