Went Joe hunting at the Target in Burbank today and saw something disturbing - the new price.
$8.69. Not a misprint. Here's hoping they lower that with a sale soon. Not that they had anything to buy anyway. |

TRU (Covina on North Azusa)
They currently have a sale on single Joe fig's which included both movie and ME figs 2 for 10.99 Not a great selection, but I picked up a firefly exclusive and a Tiger Force Duke that I needed for a opener. anybody else notice that all the TRU's are removing the Joe fig's from the large displays in front of the store and replacing it with SW Clone Wars stuff? I guess the Joe movie toys have run it's course as far as they're concerned. I saw this at two separate locations

there isn't a single Joe figure I'd ever pay $9 for at retail, ROC or otherwise. outside of sales, that about wraps up my Joe purchases.

agreed, resolute se is worthy if its not available in any tru sale, might have to pick it up at tarjay for that ridiculous price when it is out, the other concern is the price hike makes all the peg warmers clog up the pegs even longer prolonging the newer waves from being put out

How can they justify these price increases? 25th Anniversary figures started out at $5. It was claimed they could be cheaper than Star Wars because they didn't have to pay Lucas. Now what's the excuse?

The 25th figures started at $5.99, I believe.
I'll just be more selective unless sales happen. While I like the idea of vehicles, I never really do anything with them. I'll definately be more selective with them. As for figures, I like a bunch of what we have coming up. I've settled into paying $9/figure. Marvel Universe and SW have prepared me for this price. But each store varies and prices seem to fluctuate at each location. It's the market, so you either keep going, get out, or just be more discerning. |
