Believe it or not, I have G.I.Joe sightings to report in the G.I.Joe sightings forum.

Looks like Walgreens is the place to be, I stopped by one last night to pick up a drink and found a POC Jungle BAT and a POC Steel Brigade. I became curious and decided to take a detour and hit 2 more Walgreens and a CVS on my way home, and was very impressed with some interesting items that I found:

Walgreens A:
POC Jungle Bat X1
POC Steel Brigade X1

Walgreens B:
POC General Hawk X1
POC Steel Brigade X1
TF Prime RID Vehicon (not 1st edition) X1
TF Prime RID Airachnid X1

Walgreens C:
POC General Hawk X1
TF Prime RID Vehicon (not 1st edition) X1

CVS:
POC General Hawk X2
POC Blowtorch X2

(CVS joes were $12.29 each)

That's a total of 4 Hawks! I bought the lone Jungle BAT and both Vehicons. I'm now looking for more Jungle BATs, anyone find any that they want to sell/trade? I stashed a couple of those Hawks just in case anyone finds any Jungle BATs and wants to trade. Store locations will remain securely anonymous for anti-lurker purposes.

The interesting part is that the date stamp on these POC figures is 10801, which means these were from the original batch made in early 2011 and have been sitting collecting dust in a warehouse somewhere while we all searched high and low for them and barely found a handful (some of us even shelling out big bucks for them on ebay). That totally explains why there was such a shortage of POC wave 5 early last year when they were "released" (mostly at Walmart).

Also found it funny that these Joes were $9.99 each, $2 cheaper than last year's Walgreens $11.99 price for their 30th figures. This makes them the cheapest joes currently available at mainline retail! Who would have ever thought Walgreens Joes would ever be cheaper than TRU joes?

Not bad! Typically I wouldn't care too much about the lack of accessories, as BATs are perfectly convenient for heavy duty labor/hand-to-hand combat/vehicle driving, but it is a shame that the BATs don't come with their belt, the indentation and lack of belt looks a little disappointing. If I had some scrap BATs around, I'd just use their yellow belts but all of my BATs are suited up and ready for duty. Good to know that china as these available though!

If wave 6 starts showing up, then I may buy more. I think I'm all set on wave 5 now. Some of the Walgreens here aren't carrying Joes. It's the same way with CVS, too.

Well you did get me 8 or 10 Steel brigade, lol... but the only Jungle BATs I ever got from you were the 2 that dgnr82 sold to me and you transported them to me for him. I think I have something like 30 Steel Brigade and 10-12 Steel Brigade Delta now, it's pretty asinine.

I hit 3 CVSs in the Hingham area at lunch. nada. Air-tights new stomping grounds are proving fruitful already.
