I live closest to the Merle Hay Mall Target. That was the first place I found the first wave of Transformers Movie toys last summer, but they've been dropping the ball on the GI Joe front. Plus, they're like a buck more than Wal-Mart on the single cards now. Honestly, I'd rather pay the extra buck than spend time wading through the interesting folks who roam the aisles of Wal-Mart.

Good news, Tankers. Looks like the DVD packs are making appearances in Des Moines. I picked both sets up at the Merle Hay Mall Target yesterday. (That place is making a comeback on my "most valuable" list). They had the "reset" done and the shelves were starting to get stocked. Not sure if any of the other Target stores are stocking them yet, but it might be worth a look.

Not really a sighting but I wanted to share with my fellow Iowans...

Yesterday I picked up what could be described as a dream purchase...the USS Flagg. Bought it off a buddy of mine and I'm stoaked. Anyway, there aren't a lot of people who can appreciate that around these parts (my poor wife) so I thought I'd tell you guys.

One of my buddies who works at Jay's CD and Hobby contacted me yesterday about buying a USS Flagg the store just got in. I passed, but if anybody else in the Des Moines area is interested, give the store a call. I think Jay's wanting $300. Has blueprints and he thinks it's near complete. I just can't fit it in my house. lol

Anyone in the Iowa City/Coralville area looking for DVD packs, the Target at the Coral Ridge Mall has them in. I picked up one of each on my way into the office this morning; there are two of each left.

They also had a spot open for vehicles that they didn't have before, but they were already gone by the time I got there.

Once again, I caught the "leftovers" from Wave 9 at the Ankeny Wal Mart last night. They had a Wild Bill and Torpedo with the updated logos in the right corner, but the other six were taken. Anybody on the board lucky enough to grab those? Color me jealous.

Granted I haven't been looking as religiously as before, but I still have not seen wave 8 or 9 in Des Moines. They must have been somewhere, but they went fast.
