In Destro's defense, he really did seem like he was letting Baroness play out her own scheme. He just laughed when she actually destroyed his family home.

Flint did the Joe equivalent by calling LJ as his only contact when his close family was hypnotized by Cobra in Flint's Vacation.

I was big fan of Roger Moore's James Bond at the time so I associated Destro with Baron Samedi. I was actually shocked to find out he was Scottish and not a lighter-skinned (because of the chest) black dude. I guess I assumed he was a sort of Yul Brenner looking fellow.
