I would back the 100% if I had kids... or at least a little more room.

for me it would all depend on there lvl of compatability with legos, but for the most part, yes.

At this point, with the quality of Lego-type work we've seen from Hasbro, I would have to say I would not support the line. This is coming off a combination of the newer transformers figures and the old Built-to-Rule sets from years ago. When the BTR sets came out, they were poorly made, the pieces did not fit together very well to hold tight like legos do.
They seem like the quality is more on par with Mega-Blocks, which are "compatible" with legos but have a cheaper feel. With the new Transformers line, the mini-figures look amazing, but the actual sets look less desirable. If we ended up getting H.I.S.S tank sets like the customs shown here, or a Tomahawk I could transport all my GIJoe mini-figs in, I would be all over it and support it 100%. Unfortunately, however, this is very unlikely to happen.

Joe fans are fans of the best made 3 3/4 inch figures. Asking them to divert their $ to another 'cutesy' incarnation is a big mistake. I wouldn't support this. But I guess guys like me aren't the target market. Guys like me with children are, as these 'Joe Lego's' are cutesy deformation of vintage icons.

I have to be honest here...I love Lego, and when Hasbro ventured into a building block toy with BTR I was interested.
Looking back I have decided that BTR at retail was a flash in the pan and was for me throwing money down a rathole Hasbro didn't put a full commitment into design. And I get where their heading with this...Hasbro follows the Harvard business model that if your not expanding your not making money...this is the 2nd attempt to expand into the building block arena for G.I. Joe and Transformers. If its any where near as half assed as the first then it too is doomed. But for me I'll pass...this hobby is expensive you can either have my $20 for two 3.75 action figures or Kre-O figures but it can't be both my friends. And you made my commitment to 3.75 figures in 1982 so that's where I'm staying. |

It depends on quality, but the more bricks the better.
