DTC Wave 4 is dead in the water

Contact with Master Collector has revealed that Hasbro has, officially, scrapped the fourth assortment of Direct to Consumer figures, set to feature:
Lt. Falcon (VvV Hawk with new head)
Munitia (VvV Baroness with new head and arms)
Airtight (DTC Barrel Roll with new parts)
Outback (DTC Barrage with new head)
Cobra Officer (DTC Trooper with new accessories)
Night Viper (Sgt. Airborne with 03 Kamakura parts)

You know, although I'm dissapointed by the news, I'm not really heart broken. Does it suck? Yes. I was really looking forward to some of the figures in this wave.

With that said though, they were all frankenjoes anyway. We have the 25th line to look forward to, and not one of them is a re-hash! (yet).

Look at the bright side, fellas....Instead of hunting down wave 4, we can spend all of our Joe money on 25th items! WOOT!

Like I said on Cobra Island....just imagine how much the production shots are going to be worth now that the wave is confirmed as dead. The guys that bought them must be doing the wiggly worm right about now!

I'm bummed that we won't get the characters...but who's to say we won't see them in the 25th? Only time will tell..and I have no problem waiting 8-)

I don't think anyone will say that they did not see that one coming. I would like to have some of the figures in that wave, especially Falcon and Airtight, but it is not to be. At least that leaves more money for the 25th Anniversary figures and Transformers in general.

I've not collected 3.75's in almost 20 years, but I'm sorry to see them back down on these figures. These were some very nice designs, and would have been a nice "last hurrah." Hopefully they'll find some use for them down the road.
